 Alert | Playoff hopes of 3 NL west come down to the final weekend. D-backs attempt to clinch the division in Colorado.But, face a red hot Rockies Ballclub. Rockies could would win the division with a sweep and 2 padres losses.
The Padres, behind d-backs by one game need, can win the division by taking care of their business and with help from the Rockies.
Padres hold the edge by one game in the wild card race. That race is tighter still with 3 teams on the Padres heels(including Rockies).If Rockies and/or Padres overcome d-backs, the d-backs will find themselves fighting for the wild card,too.
Any of the 3 teams can win the NL West.All 3 teams stare at the face of playoff elimination before the playoffs even start.Guaranteed- (atleast)one of the three NL West teams will watch the playoffs from home. Will 2 teams make the playoffs from the NL West or will 2 NL West teams start their vacations after Sunday's games? | |
