For the sake of "the Nation" they better do something about GAGne! He is awful!! Of course, as a member of " The EMPIRE" I certainly hope they keep him. Yes, thats right, I am a Yankee Fan and Im sure that is why you posted - to lure the Yankee Fan in so we can go back and forth with the same old banter! I cant say I blame you, it is an exciting time for us. Let's face it, it is not fun when the Yanks or the Sox are not battling at the end of a season or in the playoffs. I would love to see another Yanks vs Sox ALCS. Looks like AL is pretty much set at this point. NY has 4.5 game lead in the wildcard and I doubt they will blow it now. That just leaves seeding. I really hope that we dont play Anaheim in the first round. I am confident that NY can beat the Indians then go toe-to-toe with the Sox! Your thoughts? | | | |

Stienburge has real good seats with plenty left over for all his steroid induced players. By the way....born and raised in Boston area hard to have any good feelings towards the Yanks. Especially when they took my favorite player from us and made hime shave off his hair and beard! Now Johny looks like Matsui's little brother. | | | |

In all seriousness, as much as I loathe the "Spankees", I do hope they go head to head with the Sox in the AL playoffs. I have several friends who are Yankee fans, and if nothing else, it makes for some fun bets (in '04 I bet my last five bucks and five beers - after game three - yeah, I'm that diehard of a Sox fan! 'Course we all know how that worked out, HA!). | |

Alert | | yankees suck. that's all there is to it. i grew up 4 blocks from fenway, we could often hear the crowd noise from our 6th floor balcony. didn't know then how cool that really was. did i mention that the yankees suck? and their fans do, too. although i do feel honor bound to admit that nothingtodo is a very cool chick, a good friend of mine, and i actually allow her to park her minivan with the GIANT yankees emblem at my house on occasion. but she is certainly the exception rather than the rule. yankees suck. | | | |

It's a great feeling to whatch their faces when their overpriced steroid filled players choke against a true American team. The yanks have now made the playoffs for 13 straight years. JEEETA doesnt even know what it is like to not play in the post-season. The Sawx are a flash in the pan. You make the post-season every few years and the world has to stop for THE NATION. As for the division, does it really matter? The way I see it, let Anaheim and Bostom beat each other up. NY owns the Indians this year and I will take on the Red Stockings any day of the week in a 7 game series. As for Steroids, um oh Giambi, has he even played this year? AS for payroll, I think Boston has the second highest? In case you havent noticed, it is Boston that is dishing out ridiculous $$$ for players---cmon, 50 mill to Japanese team jus to talk to the gyro baller? He isnt even that good.
