Our first game against Mt. Graham was today at 1:00 p.m.  All I can say is WOW!

Noah Anderson had 14 strikeouts and the boys shut out Mt. Graham 5 - 0.  It was an outstanding game!  The boys were very poised and played like pros.

Great Job representing Maricopa boys!!!

The boys played a good game today, but had their first loss to McCormick 10 - 5. McCormick got up by 5 runs in the first inning and although our boys tried hard they could not come back from that.

We had several good hits and Christian Bitar got his first State Tournament Homerun this is the same player who got a homerun against San Manuel in the District Tournament! Great Job boys! Keep up the great work!

Great job Christian and good luck at the next game!

How many losses is a team allowed to have at a state tournament?

Hey, what was the outcome up there in Flagstaff? Did we win another game?

Unfortunately no. We played Ahwatukee on Monday. It was a very exciting game that had no score until the 5th inning and the boys battled so hard but Ahwatukee ended up on top. Then on Tuesday we played Canyon View. The boys struggled hitting the ball and the hits we did get went to the wrong places. We held them in a couple of innings with some strong pitching and Jorge hit a homerun over the right field fence, but Canyon View remained undefeated.

Today is our last game of the tournament and I hope the boys go out and have some fun. It has been a great trip and an awesome experience for everyone. We had many people come from all over to support our Maricopa All Stars. Great job Maricopa!!!

Thanks for all of your support!

It was another game where we were on the edge of our seats all night!! Maricopa was up by by 1 run in the 5th inning (score 2 - 3). We had held them so well the entire game, but after getting the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th, Randolph hit a grandslam to end it on top.

It was unfortunate because the boys had battled so well throughout the game, but they made it fun and ended it with a great attitude. We had a great time watching them play in Flagstaff and I know that they had a good time too. It was an experience that they will never forget! They represented our city very well and we are all very proud of them!

They have definitely raised the bar for future All Stars in Maricopa!

Congrats to the All Star Team. Every year it seems that the bar is being set higher. Last season my son was on the 9-10 team that went to district, which was a first. Hopefully we can keep it going next year even though we will be losing some talented boys due to age.
