It's all cat fish. At least, that's what I was told, and that's all I've caught. And it's all Catch and release.

No pan fish? How big are the cat's?

What have you been using as bait?

Me I use worms and packed Minnows. Kid's don't need a lic. ? What about us if we soak a line?

We've gone fishing the past 2 days and have caught catfish.  I caught one on Sunday that was a pretty decent size , but with all the people catching and NOT RELEASING, may very well be gone by now .  What's up with that?!

I used powerbait for the one caught on Sunday and yesterday caught the other with hot dog.  Someone else was using ham, and caught 3.  Does anyone know how often they stock and what is stocked?

I use store bought livers that I let sit on my back porch for a day. Friend ofg mine makes a special blend of peanut butter, chicken meat, and livers. Blend until smooth, place on back porch for 2 days. It Stinks!!!

The cat fish are decent size. I know there are some big ones in there, as the people next to me, and I, both had several lines snapped by at least one big one down there.

The "lake" requires a state fishing license from AZ Game and Fish. Kids under 14 don't need a license.

We have our license, and right, kids under 14 don't need it.

We've caught talapia, cat fish, and I can't remember the other fish, but none of the other fish that I have heard are supposed to be in the lake... Hot dogs and bread work well...

I saw at least 3 turtles in the lake, good size ones too.  That is propably what is snapping lines.

I didn't go, but was there at the park yesterday.  A nice lady and her 2 sons were fishing.  They caught a catfish with some nightcrawlers they bought in CG.  She said she's also been catching blue gill with them too.

Geez...whoever opens up a bait shop here will definitely have my business.

I saw a guy pull out a 12" bass a few weeks ago when I was riding by bike past the park. I have thought about throwing my poles in the truck and going but that is the only time I have seen a person pull a fist out of there. I rather not sit there for hours for no reason.

do you need an urban lakes permit or just a state license... and does anyone actual patroll there? Ya know to enforce the catch and release?
