The guy is a LEO and in AZ it's illegal to post his address online. I know the Shopping Cart Hero didn't post his house number, but he did point out what neighborhood he lives in, and the general area he was in. Since I doubt 239 has better lawyers and resources than The New Times, why should they risk it becoming an issue.

Hey SCH, when you "clocked" him, how did you do it? You got that G35 equipped with radar, or did you also commit the same infraction you're accusing the CEO of?

It's very easy... After getting to 35 mph, I backed off and resumed going 25 mph. I never posted his address. Besides..."What's it to you?" Is he your hero or something?

So you admit commiting a wrong to prove a wrong? I'm willing to bet you were more of a risk than him; you being the one bent on catching him and proving his wrong.

I clearly stated that you did not post his house address.

No hero of mine, I've never met the man. What I have a problem with are the people going around acting as if they are road judges and need to rectify other peoples driving. They do this by commiting the same infractions, sometimes even worse, just to point out the other guy was wrong first. As if that somehow makes their actions appropriate.

Although it may be "easy" to go over the posted speed limit, I don't consider it "silly" to go the maximum or less. Afterall, there are pedestrians and other vehicles that use Butterfield.

It only takes one "silly" moment to change someone's life.

You may remember this from the original 85239:

The rich ruleth over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Everybody that ALWAYS drives 25MPH around the Villages loop please raise your hand!!!!

And no, I don't raise mine.

I only do 25mph around Butterfiled Parkway.  It annoys the hell out of the person behind you and I like being a dick.

"Idiotic" I rate this thread 4/5 LOLZ!

Thanks,
Higgs

Liberalism and capitalism address themselves to the cool, well-balanced mind. They proceed by strict logic, eliminating any appeal to the emotions. Socialism, on the contrary, works on the emotions, tries to violate logical considerations by rousing a sense of personal interest and to stifle the voice of reason by awakening primitive instincts.

Please. I've had Indian burns worse than that...

Why am I here? I heard there was a grown man running around in a cape breaking the law, just so he could whine about other people breaking the law.

Back to the original question, everyone deserves due process. If this employee was speeding, then the proper action would be to report it to his employer. He would be given a fair review and the issue could be resolved.

Here's how the conversation is going to go..

Sinbad: "Sir, there was an employee of yours doing 35mph in a 25mph residential street"

Employer: ""How do you know how fast he was going?"

Sinbad: "I.. well.. uh... sped up to his speed.. uh then well i IMMEDIATLY slowed back down to the speed limt"

Employer: ""uh huh.... well sir I am sorry for what happenned and I will get right on that.."

.. followed by enormous laughter after hanging up on you..

The police report? Here ya go...

Sinbad: "Sir, I'd like to file a police report"

Officer: "for what, sir?"

Sinbad: "for speeding"

Officer: (queue up crickets chirping) ".... I'm sorry, say that again..."

Sinbad: "I want to file a police report for someone speeding"

Officer: "Sure, come on in.. I'll get right on it.."

... followed by enormous laughter after he hangs up on you.... Then the officer will ponder your sanity and ability to make coherent judgement calls..

Yeah, could be. I would think that his boss would at least have a discussion with the guy and let him know that a citizen called about his driving. Sure, there's not enough to do anything punitive, but at least it lets the guy know that people are watching.

After asking some questions this last weekend, I now know the whole story and who Sinbad was complaining about.

The only conclusion that I can come up with is maybe Sinbad has a personal vendetta against the person in question because this isn't the first time he has complained about "the employee".

With that said, I think Sinbad should worry about his own and leave "the employee" alone. It is ridiculous and childish!

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

I called him the first time.. sent an email to the boss the second.

Nothing is going to happen.
