Diamond, you can e-mail them to me and I will be glad to put them up for you. I just got back from a business trip to LA. I had to remind myself why I don't live there anymore Soon as my eyes stop watering and my lungs clear, I will put up the pics that I took as well.

Hey, your truck did okay on that run. I thought for a moment you were going to follow the Jeeps up the side of the mountain.

Great, I will e-mail them to you this evening.

As far as the hill goes, I sat at the bottom of it for a few minutes after you guys went up, and pondered the thought of going up.......but then I decided that I really had to much to live for............. and wanted to enjoy it, so I parked it at the bottom, then walked up.  I'm a 4 wheel drive virgin, that was my first outing, and I didn't feel comfortable, not quite knowing what I was doing like all you pros!!!!  I still had a wonderful time, it was alot of fun, except I scratched up poor my truck up, but don't regret a second of it!!!   Thank you for your hospitality, met some wonderful people!  I will send those pictures to you this evening.

Yeah, I remember the first few scratches that I put on my Jeep. It was painful. However, if you're gonna take a vehicle off road in the Desert, it's gonna get scratched. You did pretty good - I would have really been surprised if you had made it to the top of the hill in your truck as long as it is.

Okay, here's the pictures. These are not everything that I hoped to post. I had a problem with the flash card in my camera and lost a bunch of stuff. Sorry to take so long to get these up - I spent most of the week in California reminding myself why I don't live there anymore

This is line up on the power line road.

Many of those you will see here are the same crew we've had on some of our previous runs. This is a newcomer. Her name is Ladybug and she's a foster that Kimberly dropped off while I was on a run in the Goldwater range. It appears from this picture that Ladybug has become a permanent foster. She is also an excellent off-road dog.

This is the valley we crossed between Sevenmile Mountain (in the background) and the Estrellas, from where the picture is being taken at about 2800 ft. If you look closely, you can see the trail we drove across.

This is me, checking out our first destination, which was the trail marker showing the way to the stone house. The marker was made in 1968 by persons unknown. We didn't find the stone house, but it wasn't for lack of looking. We drove (darn near straight up) and hiked the trail. It was afternoon and getting a little to warm to go much farther. The stone house will be a destination for another (much cooler) day.

This is the trail to the stone house. It looks like a field trip

There are dangerous creatures along the trail and constant vigilance is required to avoid being eaten alive. I captured the image of a couple of them here.

This one is taken from a little further up the mountain.

This young lady never met a camera lens that she didn't like.

A little first aid along the trail.

Since we didn't get to the stone house, we decided to check out the petroglyphs at the south end of the range beneath Montezuma's Head. This area is rich with them. Problem is, some Darwin Award contestants think they are entitled to spray graffiti beside, and even over, the petroglyphs. I was only able to recover one shot of the ancient writings from my CF card. You can bet that I am going back out to take some more.

This is a little 21st century graffiti. It's not the worst. Some of it is painted right over the old Indian writing.

The area is rich with rocks to climb and caverns to explore.

These pictures were taken my Mrs. Percival. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't have anything else to post of the Indian signs.

These depressions in the rock are what the Indians used to grind corn for making bread and other substances for making medicine.

These are the rest of the pictures that I could recover. I will leave you with some spring beauty in the Sonoran Desert.
