Alert | Syracuse NY.. Go Orange!
I miss..........
A real state fair.. not like the "field days" AZ state fair. Real sausage... Real pizza... Real hotdogs (Teds in Tempe is close enough though..) Hellavagood French Onion dip. Dinosaur BBQ.. Less traffic.
things I dont miss: Snow. People who don't know how to drive in snow (well, I guess they are here too, but since we dont have the snow, it doesn't matter.) Shovelling Snowblowing. Plowing. Brushing off the car after it snows. Putting on 10000 layers of clothes to check the mail, or anything else outside. Snow. Snow. Snow.
(Actaully, I like snow.. I just hate all other crap that goes along with it.)

I miss my sister the most. The ability to go to any of 10 lakes within 10 minutes.
The state fair, (useless information) all food served at the MN state fair must be on a stick.
I miss fire flys.
I miss bald eagles.. we were on the lake last year in the boat and a blad eagle swooped out of the sky and plucked a fish out of the water.

We are now from So Cal and I miss my friends, and the ocean/beach days & Hamburger Hamlet. Alert | From Missouri
I miss the oak and maple trees changing colors in the fall and covering all the farm roads by our house.
The first light snow that would also cover the trees.
Going out to ride the horses and being able to pick one of 12, going out in our 40 acres or in the surrounding areas and riding all day long without looking at a watch!
THE GREEN!!!!
Watching the storms role in over the plains and watching out for tornado's!
Knowing all of my neighbors and being able to return the bassett hound back to my hot neighbor next door!
Friday night football, this was an event for the WHOLE town. Everything in the midwest revolves somehow around football. | | Who's using me, what should we do? Because you can't be a pimp and a prostitute too. - White Stripes

Alert | I'm from Queens, NYC.
I miss being able to tell someone to go f*** themselves without the worry that they'll take it personally and get all offended.
And I miss being able to go running at night -- our Queens neighborhood was also the neighborhood of John Gotti and there was NO crime (well, blue-collar crime, anyway). A girl felt really safe there.

Alert | Wow, I didn't know there were so many hometown folks right here in Maricopa.
I moved here from York, PA - worked in Lancaster, but I traveled the state to do my job. We were in Reading and Philly alot!
I miss the grass and the beautiful big trees that were so big that they shaded the road as you drove. Then in the fall they turned these incredible colors! I really miss the seasons...but there are many things here that I absolutely love, so I am adjusting.
One of the biggest things I miss is the huge family gatherings for holidays. My house is where everyone would come and I would bake my turkey dinner with all of the fixin's. We would stay up and play cards till 3 in the a.m.
As far as food goes...What about red velvet cakes, or french fries with gravy mmmmm.... | | "Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean.
