 Alert | You are unbiased. If you didn't have family that crossed illegally I doubt you would have the same opinion. Speeding and living in a country illegally is not on the same level. Bad example. And this isn't about race. Playing that card gets people all emotional but it really isn't the issue, it is just a PC escape from the reality. This is about desperate people in the country illegally who break laws out of desperation. Like Crown said, how many legal drivers flee accidents? I got hit by an illegal and had to do the same thing. I was mortified when the guy ran.
The whole "we should send all Mexicans back thing" is right on the money if they aren't here legally. I don't know what part of this concept is so hard to understand. If they are here legally, let the good times roll. | | | |

and I could say the same... if you or your family had crossed illegally you would feel different too about people calling them names and accusing them of being horrible criminals
I have no problem with increased borders and all that. I am all for that for the security of OUR country.
All I said was that not every illegal is a hard core criminal.

Alert | thanks and no they are not illegals anymore but it did take them about 2 yrs to become citezens. In which time they we illegal and law abiding.
When you (not you in particular) generalize and make comments about a certain group of people it goes out to everyone involved. so, yes saying that ALL illegals are scum and ya da yadda is grouping everyone together.. the good and the bad...

EVERY illegal is A CRIMINAL.
That's why they aren't called LEGAL aliens.
They should stay home and fix their country, instead of trying to turn this one into North Mexico.

Alert | | Generalizations are bad, but unfortunately most illegals in Arizona are Mexican. I work with a lot of Canadians and if their visas fall through, they leave, plain and simple. I'm just of the opinion that if you aren't here legally, it is a big deal, and you should go through the channells to gain citizenship or residency. It solves a lot of problems that could arise down the road. Just ask the high school girl from Phoenix who is hanging out in Mexico right now if she wished she would have gotten it taken care of. If you want to be here, get legal, pay taxes, vote, work, and contribute. It makes life easier. But jumping the border strains resources that aren't equipped to handle people with nothing. Mexico has some of the toughest laws against illegal aliens and they are vigorously enforced. They don't turn a blind eye, like our sad elected officials.
But they do encourage their citizens to emigrate here so they can achieve a majority and take control of the US, state by state. | | | |

I cannot blame them and if the roles were reversed we'd be doing the same there, the problems with this are many of having a porous border.
One of the worst problems are the criminals that come across that we cannot stop and the result is what you see here.
Although I strongly disagree with crownNcokes way of voicing his opinion, they all have to go back and we as citizens need to close ranks to protect our country. Not a pretty thing to do but a job that has to be done because the negatives outway the positives.
But fixing illegal immigration we have to start with fixing the process of legal immigration, that is just as broken and inept as our current border security options. | | | |
