So we called Global Water regarding the cloudy water and all they could tell us was "they are working on the problem" We asked if the water was safe to drink or use and the rep said "I don't know, all I was told was to let you know that they are working on the problem". Nice. Just thought I would pass the info along. We also have a water softener and our water is still cloudy.

Just wanted to let you know that I was cleaning out the pool kit tester in the kitchen sink and it turned more yellow indicating CHLORINE than what was in the pool. So I then tested again and the levels of chlorine were off the chart, I thank God we have a water cooler.

This is ridiculous, plain and simple! Between the water company and the electric company, the citizens of Maricopa are sick and broke, what a joke!

File a complaint about the increases in sewer and minimum water fees. I'm sure they'll adjust your bill.

Double check your bill...........if yours was like mine, it was well over the normal number of days. Look at the number of days that were billed and that may explain it.

Yes it was for more days, why can't they bill the same amount of days every month???, but it still doesn't logically make sense to me: Apr-May bill- 27 days 3246 gallons basic chg $25 consumption $5.84 sewer $33. May-June 31 days 6899 gallons basic chg $25 consumption $15.34 sewer $33.00 June-July 48 days 2727 gallons basic chg $40 consumption $4.49 sewer $52.80. They chg by the day for basic use and sewer? But I'll bet if the next bill was only for 14 days the basic chg would still be at least $33.

I spoke with Global Water and they stated they started having problems with the water on FRIDAY!! They are currently working on the problem. My husband noticed several water hydrants are open and running. The area's effected are RED and VRED. The problem should be resolved this afternoon.

I asked why they didn't make an attempt to inform the public. Their statement: "We couldn't possibly call everyone". I made them aware of 85239.com, and how this has become a viable news source for many residents in Maricopa.

Consider yourself lucky. You have nasty water. At least you HAVE water. I have City of CG Water Company and wasn't so lucky.

I was in the shower this morning when within 15 seconds the waterflow went from normal to not one drop out of any pipe. Thankfully, I had just rinsed the shampoo out of my hair and only had soap all over my body :o

I had to wipe the soap off with the towel. What a way to start the day. When I called to find out what happened - they had a main line leak and had to shut down the system to cut out a section of pipe to replace. Great - good for you. This had to be done at 7am when no one could possibly be in the shower?

Hmmm is it normal to have two people use 5700 gallons or so a month?

Now I can give my pets bottled water with out getting into trouble. By the way I always give my pets bottled water to drink but my husband doesn't know, so don't tell him LOL

I thought my toilet was dirty- I cleaned it 3 times!!! UGH!!!

I have to say water is VERY expensive here- I mean I know its a desert and all but iti s 3x the price of California. NOW I have to chuckle to myself when you all are complaining about 280.00 electric bill for the summer- last year in Cali my neighbor's was $800.00!!! My other neighbors was 650.00- granted they had pools but mine (without a pool) was still $375-450.00 for July/August and Sept.

Between the water & the electric bill..it never seems to make sense. How can someones water consumption double with 4 extra days in the billing cycle?
Our electric bill was higher than last month and the wife & son was out of the country almost all month....

I wish the LOCAL news media would do a very in depth investigation into these allegations and concerns. We are getting it from every angle in this town.

Dingdong, back up about 10 posts and read my rundown and let me know if you see any sense to that! I can hardly wait to get home and see the electric bill.

we need the local news investigators, looks as though electric and H2O company has this town monopolized.

i don't like people who uses "signature" on their profile. TAKE IT OFF!!!
