Unfortunately, I was compelled to issue a warrant for the arrest of a local resident. This individual was caught mispronouncing the name of Smith-Enke Road on three separate occasions in town. As you well know, the Unpronounceable Street Names Act of 1989 stipulates that only two mispronunciations of a street name are allowable under law. On the third offense, a warrant is issued for the arrest of the offending tongue-tied soul. On the fourth offense, he or she is made to walk around wearing a replica of said street sign for a period of no less than two (2) hours, but not to exceed twelve (12) hours. As for the fifth offense -- I shudder to even think of it! It was a sad day, indeed. But justice must be served! bang, bang Court is adjourned!
