I posted this in the education forum too, but I didn't hear any views on it so I thought I would try it  here......

Basically with the education the way it is out here anything might help, not only with the teachers and staff, but our children too...I went to a trade show/seminar kind of thing, and one of the companies there did a demo of virtual reality in education. I thought it was an amazing idea. They split us up in small groups to show us how it worked, and it was neat it felt like I was right there. I could look and feel in all directions and in certain areas it stopped and told me about where I was. I was honestly really into it, I could only imagine how my kids would feel.

They told us that they have packages so that teachers can do their own reality learning, curicculum, or they can do it together as a student teacher project, and the prices were quite honestly pretty darn good. I just  worry about how much kids are really learning here, and how into they really are. I would love to remember the web site to take it to the middle school out here and pass it on to the teachers. Anything these days to keep our kids WANTING to learn instead of needing to would be a blessing....

Just one question, Karma.  What exactly was it that made you WANT to learn when you went to school?  I cannot think of a reason not to need to learn something.  The real blessing is that when you learn something it is normally for your own good.
