Alert | Just checked a website that says when your check should be deposited or mailed according to the last 2 digits of your social. Anyone know what to do or who to contact if you have not received the funds? (yes we filed on time) We filed together so would we each get a seperate check, or will it be one lump sum? If one lump sum, should it be my SS # or my spouse?

Alert | Yes, look at the website irs.gov under stimulus payment. You can put in your tax filing info and it'll give you a status of when and how much will be mailed to you. Also, the IRS sends out a mailer giving you details of the when and how much, too. This happens about 2 weeks before scheduled payment. | | You may remember this from the original 85239: Proverbs 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Alert | I was told by the IRS that if you use Turbo Tax or another similiar program to file, that you won't receive a direct deposit check and the checks aren't sent according to the schedule they list on the IRS website. You get a physical check mailed to you at the end of June or whenever the last scheduled drop of checks is to go out. It would be nice if they could of posted this on their website, as I had to wait on hold forever just to find this out. | | They are who we thought they were!

Alert | I had mine done at H& R Block and from the schedule said I should have got mine by May 16th. I still have not seen my check yet either. I heard this is the same for a lot of people, maybe they are just running late.

Alert | | If you used H & R Block and had them take the fees for the service out of your refund, you will get a paper check. Also if you did the same with any company and havent received your payment its most likely coming in the mail. It all has to do with 3rd party banks, if you used H and R and had a partial refund/rapid refund this will also happen as well. If you filed with your spouse, and had your stimulus held back for a previous debt, you can also file a "injured spouse" claim (whoever the money wasnt confiscated for can) to get your share of it back. | | Jody

What if you have changed your address since you then?
If you are to be mailed a check, it will go back to the IRS and you'll have to call them. The Post Office will not forward checks from the IRS.

Alert | | my mom was told just to do an address change and see what happens, so I strongly suggest getting the form 8822, but you will need to call the IRS to get the address in California like my mother did because for some reason they don't print it online | | Jody

Alert | We filed with Turbo Tax and had our refund direct deposited, and received our Stimulus check the beginning of May. So that theory is inaccurate!
And remember: not everyone is getting a check. If you owe the IRS money (say, from prev. taxes), or if you are behind on student loan payments, you will not receive a check. There are many factors riding on who will get this money.

Alert | | The key is "fees paid from refund from 3rd party". If they the refund was processed thru a 3rd party's bank then one would receive a check (all things being equal). If one had refund direct deposited into own account, IRS had taxpayers bank routing and acct number, then irs payment would have been direct deposited into said taxpayers account. | | You may remember this from the original 85239: Proverbs 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Alert | Update: We just received our stimulous check in the mail. Not sure why it was mailed and not directly deposited, but we are very happy to finally get it. Also, we have moved since filing and the post office did forward it to our new address. Cheers!
