Geez...Give wroking people a break. I would be happy to have a whole community of people parking work trucks than all the vacancys now.

A commercial vehicle of over 26K rating is very large. larger than the Dodge 3500 or a Ford F350. I don't think most U-Hauls are rated that heavy. Either that or it has to have hazardous waste stored in it, like a welding truck. That might be a problem, or a pesticide truck. I seriously doubt anything a landscaper has to pull a trailer will violate any of the HOA rules. It would take a delivery van, a stake truck, dump truck, semi or something of that size and type. Even a tow truck would be allowed as a on-call vehicle.

You people who get all bent over this stuff need to get a life and let other's live theirs. You should be happy you have nieghbors, neighbors who work hard and stay around. Have respect for other people and thier jobs and stop being so stuck on appearances. Having a work truck in a driveway is a good thing. Having no landscaping, trash, weeds or a vacant house is bad.

Leave the working people alone.

Drive through Cactus Cove and take a look at this "truck". It is NOT a pick up toting a wagon. It is a BIG truck. Def construction sized.

And, I DID say that I was thankful that the homes are occupied and people are working and I love my neighborhood.

If things were different, and the CCR's didn't have such restrictions, I wouldn't say BOO. I read my CCR's, I abide by them. I bought my home expecting the others who purchased in here to do the same. Don't we sign these agreements because we "agree" and wish to comply? It is a contingency of buying in this type of a development.

This is also the neighbor who has the single worst taste in landscaping (yes, he owns a landscaping company), but I am done laughing and snickering about his hideous wildlife and naked lady statues. His lawn, although not my taste, is kept beautifully.

I have a life, I like my neighbors, I have respect for others. Quit judging ME!

I brought up this question because there was a rumor in my community that our HOA was going to come around citing people for parking their work trucks. The vehicles I am asking about are BERG Electric vans and ULTIMATE ELECTRONICS van. I know there are a few others in my neighborhood that are truck type but they are a street or 2 away.

I do not mind these vehicles at all parked in driveways. I think it is not an eye sore any more than parking your own truck or van in a driveway.

I was just wondering what my neighbors recorse was if the HOA did decide to come around and write citations.

For most it would mean nothing, but we allways have to be watchful of those few misguided crack-pot, hypocritical, zealots who want to want to stick their nose in your business and attempt to control your life because they have none of their own.

You know the type:  they write stuff like "dont'  judge me" when it comes to comments about them but in the same post will write about others...

As long as they are not commercial-size vans.. what's the big deal?

If they are "box-trucks".. that's one thing.. If they are just full size vans, what's the big deal?

Did you READ my post?????????

Obviously not.  I did indeed have an opinion. I have that right.  Do I need to speak about it publicly? NO.  Will I again, I hope I choose not to should the situation arise.  Am I the only neighbor who has this opinion?  No.  Has the HOA sited this particular homeowner & situation for not apporving their landscaping before installing it? Yes.

The point I was trying to make was that I AM grateful that we have neighbors and not vacant homes.  My neighborhood looks nice, clean, well cared for and about with pride of ownership.  Of course, this is JUST MY OPINION.

I am still happy with my choice to live in Maricopa.  I see so much potential here.  The folks I have met are caring, hard working people who are trying to make a nice life for themselves and their families.  They care about their community.  I have seen many instances of community outreach to families in need.  I have participated.  I plan on doing it again & again.

I also notice there are those who feel like they are the chosen few who feel the need to belittle those who do not think as they do.  The negitivity they generate is not something I choose to suround myself with.  Isn't this a forum for people with opinion diversity? So, for those folks I  don't see eye to eye with, I will smile poliety and move on.  Kind of like the bully at school that my kids don't need to play with.

teampearlstein, I have read your posts, I wonder if you have though.

Of all the posts on this thread yours were the most negative and beligerent.

"This is also the neighbor who has the single worst taste in landscaping (yes, he owns a landscaping company), but I am done laughing and snickering about his hideous wildlife and naked lady statues".

These are your words. You gave out the street. Do you think people can't figure out who you are talking about? Do you think your actions here may have hurt your nieghbors business? It is obvious you meant to attack your nieghbor on a public forum and it is also apparent that you think you are superior.

Did you really think that people would let you be that way and not make a comment? Are not others entitled to their opinions too? This is so about you yet you can't handle it.

Again this is MY opinion which I also have a right to express, it is not as negative as yours and is in fact helpfull.....here it is:

Grow up, get a life, leave others alone.

Stop being the nieghborhood HOA enforcement bully.

NO ONE likes that person.

Be positive to your nieghbors as you so preach and your llife will be better and more positive. Be proud you have sucessful nieghbors instead of belittling their business and then you will make your community better.

No one will listen to you if you do not follow what you preach.

Goodluck.

Thank you for your courtesy in allowing all of us an opinion.
Sincerely,
Pepperdog

Temple I am curious are you a renter or owner?  Too have this joke attitude concerning the dire straits of the economy is questionable.  Right now you should be a little more co-operative and shut-up.   Sorry but that is an honest opinion of a looser spotting your BX.  Tell the truth how long you have lived in Pinal County, or why you got kicked out of who knows where?

An HOA is VERY necessary.  The neighbor lots already look like hell, can you imagine what they would look like without an HOA?

Your neighbor could pave his front yard and have a 7 car driveway and could paint his house black with yellow trim.

Think of this put  lakes in here no trim needed charge for fishing and that will pay for some of the land scape coast.

Dobson ranch you buy fishing licence and that goes for what ever.

The HOA is BS out here!!!!!!

Hi azcar!  I am assuming your are directing these questions towards me.  I wasn't 100% sure, as I had a hard time reading your post.

Yes, I am a homeowner, as I have stated in previous posts on this thread.  Are you stating that I have a "joke attitude"?  I assure you I do not.

Please explain the phrase "a looser spotting your BX"?  I do not understand that phrase.

I have owned my home here in Maricopa for awhile now.  And I have to say, I have never been kicked out of anywhere.

Was there a point to these questions?  Thanks for asking. That is what I like about Maricopa, the people are friendly and really concerned with building a strong sense of community.

I plan on being here for many years to come.  Nice to meet you.

OMG...I find this more often than not on this forum--People bashing other people and going WAY off topic.

I asked a simple question about legal rights of homeowners with commercial vehicles and HOA's. A few other individuals commented about different types of vehicles in their neighborhoods. Next thing you know people are personally bashing other people, Asking is they own their home and where they got kicked out of? Where is this comming from.

We are adults here. Ask a question answer a question, thats it. Remember the old addage If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything.

I am sure we all agree that citing SMALLER commercial vehicles in driveways is a waste of time and resources that is better spent getting rid of weeds in people's yards. But if the vehicle in question is large and is not a normal size van or truck I do see a reason to have the HOA cite the homeowner and ask them to relocate it. Boats, RVS's, Trailers and LARGE commercial vehicles do not fit in driveways and should not be parked in the street in front of homes. We knew the CCR'S when we moved in and they are clearly prohibited in MOST HOA'S.

I am happy there are no vacant homes with TONS of weeds and I know how hard it is to make a living. I do not want to condem anyone that is ( I know some of them get gas paid thru their company for driving a company truck) so that is why I asked the question about what the law was.

So please lets all stop attaking each other and get back on Topic about Commercial Vehicles.
