Alert | | I live in Maricopa Meadows and I love it here. Not much traffic, can't smell the chickens/cows, my neighborhood has only 2 vacant homes so the yards are well kept. Plus we have no amenities which I love since I don't have to pay for things I will never use. Within walking distance to the schools and great paths to bike ride on.

Alert | | When I first moved here we lived in The Villages and I have to be honest I was so excited about the amenities but we only used them once. So for me they are a waste I would rather have a pool in my backyard but it is great getting in and out. RED is nice but not as well maintained and in the morning can take almost 20-30 minutes to get out to JWP as opposed to Edision. I prefer Senita. Nice parks and now with the light I can get to the middle school, high school and JWP without waiting. The cows can get bad the train is not as bad as it was in the Villages, I must be set back further. I did hear they are putting in a light at Honeycutt and Donithan, where the school is. I would settle for a stop sign.

Alert | We really like it here in Homestead too! we have wonderful neighbors and all live in a cul-de-sac so we all come out, and the kids can play with only a few cars to worry about. we don't have any pools, but i would never use them anyway. so far i think there is only 1 house that might be empty, so it doesn't look like any of the neighborhoods in RED! i think every other house is empty there!

Alert | Life is peachy in Glennwilde. It would be hard to push a shopping cart back up the wash. So, for now, I think we're safe.

Alert | Near as i can figure everyone of the communities has pluses and minuses.... When I was a MAricopan, I lived in Alterra..... the pluses were that it is pretty, well landscaped, fairly quiet...because it was more off the main path, there wasn't the "drive thru" traffic issues some neighborhoods complain about. Minuses were- It's "on the other side of the tracks", train delays Suck! There is no community center, splash pad or community pool.... | | I am channeling my "inner cougar".....

Alert | | Alright, I first loved it here in the Villages, but now I am starting to wonder. We too moved here for the amenities, but now they are always broken! The splash pad has been down for days. Also the HOA cannot get their crap together. They set us a $500 bill stating that we have not paid since December. Not true, I had it set up on reaccuring payments. Then when I tried to talk to them about it, I got the run around. The best is they sent it to a collection place who then states that we owe $750, what the heck? I've told both the HOA and the collections people I am not paying anything until they get their crap straight. They shut off our gate key, but who cares? The things that my toddler likes are always broken anyway.

Alert | | The Villages splash pad was running as of 30 minutes ago. Our toddler didn't want to leave the playground area. I'm sorry to har about the challenges with the HOA/ Billing. We haven't had any such issues. | | My answer WAS "NO" to Q#5 and Q#1. Proverbs 22:7 The rich ruleth over the poor and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Alert | You got to love Glennwilde! It is quiet; the train is far enough to be ignored. The cows are close and smelly here but I eared they will be gone in a couple of years. Pacana Park and the new elementary school are around the corner. Fry’s is not close but I can see the Wal-Mart construction from my window. We use both shimming pools many times; we play tennis and ride our bicycles in the trails. Every house that is constructed is sold since the builder only builds what they sale, good neighbors, not to close, no to far, green areas, no rentals (by contract). I love it and my kids to.

Alert | | DOTHEJAKE....there are plenty of people who know each other in tortosa....maybe you need to get out more and you wont have that problem.......we get your typical maricopa smells from time to time in tortosa....very quiet...and once the VW proving ground moves to gila bend that will pave the way for more homes and business and hopefully we will be the closest to a future punch through to the 1-10 | | *formerly known as inyrfce2* Senior Member Posts: 797 Joined: Dec 2006

Alert | | So Cobblestone isnt a good community? I thought it would be a bit more convenient since it is on the other side of the tracks and closer to town.... anything right now is better than MM.

Alert | I like the Villages because of all the community has to offer. That is not where we live but if I had it to do over that is where I would want to be. |
