Did the police print the car? I'll bet there was some leaning and hand support while doing the hood.

Sucks to have to keep your mercedes outside of your garage.

No street lights create great opportunities for young artists to renovate private property all throughout Maricopa. How sad. I've lived in many neighborhoods, some good, some not so good, but i've never, ever, seen that. I will say it until I am blue in the face...the cheap rent is the #1 cause of these problems.

No prints taken, but a report was filed.

Luckily it all came off with some laquer thinner and a comound/ polish/ wax buff job...

It's an 18 year old, $2500 car.  Doesn't matter what the marque is... The nice car was inside the garage.  But it is still my car and it pissed me off -and cost me a day's pay- to 'fix' what the Arizonian Dyslexic Nazis did.

I hope it  was one of the little bastards that got stabbed last night.

Karma is a b!tch.

That exact same thing was spray painted on a wall in Senita about a week ago. I hope this kid gets nailed.

You would think if the butthead is going to put swastikas on people's cars, he would at least get it right. Hopefully the PD will have this guy's "tag" in their database and be able to nail him when the time comes. I don't call them "taggers" because what they do isn't tagging, it's vandalism.

We went to Ajo this weekend and came back on Indian Route 15 through the Tohono O'Odham Reservation. Everything along the highway was vandalized with graffiti - both sides of road signs, even the cactus.

Stupid should hurt!

I'm not trying to add insult to injury here - I just do not understand why so many people park their cars in their driveway and on the street. I'm sure most people have garages full of crap - that doesn't come close to the value of their vehicle which is left outside all night. That said, there is obviously no excuse for vandalizing another person's property. It's disgusting.

Do you think it depends on where we grew up? I grew up in MN and we would have never left a car outside at night because it would freeze up and not start the next day. So, I guess it stuck with me to park in the garage.

I keep one vehicle inside and one outside. My "two car garage" is a two car garage only in name. I could probably squeeze the second one in if I absolutely had to. But here in Maricopa it is a catch 22.....how many homes get broken into because there is no vehicle out front and the dirtbags think that no one is home? You really can't win here.

No... You don't get to blame the victim. The fact is that someone caused property damage. This is the same night that there was a gangfight.

For the record, yes, this is exactly the same tag that was left on a wall in Senita a little over a week ago. I did take pictures. The pix went to the local agencys. It is on record.

I think it is time the majority of our police officers patrol the nieghborhoods at night rather than hang out on 347 busting speeders. I mean if the same sort of blanket saturation was put in the nieghborhoods that we have on 347 between the Frye's shooping center and El Roca we wouldn't have these issues.

How bout on cop on 347 per shift and the rest assigned to the nieghborhoods?

That almost sets up the boundries as to where this fine citizen lives. I don't see Harvard in his future....

Have you reported this address to the police yet?

I think MPD has been using a few vacant houses in developments for neighborhood surveillance. I think some of the builders are allowing this because of the break in to vacant houses. Kids have been partying & trashing the vacant houses. So I think jumping up and down on MPD like they are not doing anything is not right. I am sure they are trying to catch kids in the act but it is a tough thing to do. I counted 12 squad cars at the fire on Friday night, now I know all of those cars were not working 347 for speeders. I am just saying its easy to harp on the cops but they are doing there job anyway you look at it. MPD does what they can and I never really see anything positive said about that.

What happened to your car really sucks that kids would do that. I really hope they get caught.

Ok I am off my soapbox

Right on the money. The speeders are just easy targets who are tax paying citizens coming or going to work. Doing real police work reqiuires more energy and drive.

Our police force is reactive not pro-active.

are you seriously stating that this wouldn't have happened if there were more patrols? That's ridiculous... they could put the entire Phoenix PD out here and it still would have happened...

Seriously.. you think the MPD is capable of patrolling the ENTIRE Maricopa area every five minutes? This vandalism probably took less than 2 minutes to do.. you seriously think a patrol car every 2 minutes is feasible in ANY city?

Just because you don't see the MPD patrol doesn't mean it doesn't happen... and just because some graffiti happens doesn't mean they aren't working..

Stop whining over getting a speeding ticket and get pro-active in your community.. having a pro-active position in your community will do more than all the officers in the world..

I'm sorry that happened. It is never a good feeling to come out in the morning and see your property vandalized. In my old neighborhood ( Tempe), it was cars getting broken into and they sterreo systems being stolen. No matter what your loss is, it still sucks.
I am glad you were able to get it off.

And who can park 2 cars in a 2-car garage. i could get 2 cars in mine, but you couldn't open any doors and get in or out! I'd have to leave the sun roof open and get in and out that way! I have to park one car outside to make room for the quads!
