It is going by your Social security number. The last two digits of your social to be exact. if your social ended in 01-20 they were supposed to be direct deposited last week. This week will be 21-40 then the following week 41-60 and so on, and they are sending the peoples checks that did not file for direct deposit later...when I dont know cause I was only interested in the Direct deposit as we did that.

I hope this helped.

Not quite. All of the direct deposits were supposed to have been completed last week. People who don't get a direct deposit stimulus but did get a direct deposit refund are those who chose to have e-File fees deducted from their return. That will cause the IRS to send a paper check. Here is the schedule:

That would mean I should have mine now but dont. The link would not work for me Jason. I have the article that the Wall Street Journal had as far as that and that is where I got the Info. I will try to get into the IRS site again, but thanks for the info you gave as well. I was expecting mine in a few weeks with the schedule the paper gave.

I didn't see anywhere about e-filing fees deduction causing paper check.  I wouldn't see why this would make a difference. IRS simply needs Tax return filed, qualifications met, and bank routing and account info.

I just believe there is another reason. However, nothing would surprise me.

I am not reading anything about e-filing fees deduction on that website provided. However, it does say that we should receive ours by weeks end (according to our last two digits...). I guess only time will tell. I just thought that someone, somewhere out there...would have received theirs by now- so as to give the rest of us belief in the system- LOL!

Well, that's good to hear. I just inputted out informaiton into the formula, and it is saying we might get more than 2100 based on exemptions (line 6D). I am not sure about this, since i thought the max amount was 1200.

If you filed with Turbo Tax and paid for any return related fees by having it taken out of your refund, you may be later in getting your money. This is due to the fact that Turbo Tax actually turns over the bank information for a bank in California that then gets the refund deposit, and takes the fee out of the deposit, then forwards the deposit on to the tax payer. Since you can't do that for the incentive payments, the IRS is having to mail out these payments. So, even if you had your refund direct deposited - IF, you used Turbo Tax, AND IF you paid for using Turbo Tax by having the fee come out of your return, you will not get your money direct deposited.

The way to verify when your funds will arrive, is to call the IRS and see if they have your bank acct information on record. Again, this delay is apprantely only for Turbo Tax filers, who did not pay for the fees with a credit or debit card, but had them taken out of the refund. You can visit www.irs.gov for more information as well.

I paid our turbotax fees with my debit card- I think it was like $20. I am not really understanding the turbo tax fee and having that come out of the return.

I just looked at my fee receipt and it indicates that my federal e-file was free, but I had to pay for state e-file...hence the $25 + tax fee that I used my card for. Is that what you are referring to (this fee?)

The 1200 max is for married filing jointly with income less than 150k. There is also an additional $300/   dependent child  for each child under 17 on dec 31st

This does make sense. This would also apply for any "loans" done thru companies like H&R Block Or Jackson Hewitt. The bank infomation on the tax return must be that of that taxpayer(s). So anything that did not go directly to the taxpayer would have a delay and be sent by paper check.

Yes, any fee you paid to Turbo Tax for the taxes (mostly this would be for the state tax form), is what I am referring to. If you paid with a debit card, credit card, or had the fee come directly out of any of your own accounts, and you had any refund direect deposited back to you, you are ok, and will not have to wait.

Anyone who did not use a credit or debit card, but instead had Turbo Tax take your fee out of your refund, then you will have to wait for a check in the mail, as the IRS does not have your direct deposit information on file. What they have on file is the bank in California that Turbo Taxe uses. If your fee is paid for out of your refund, the IRS deposits your regular refund money into the Turbo Tax bank, and then the bank takes the fee out, then directly deposits the funds into your account. Unfortunately, this scenerio does not work for the incentive payments, as otherwise, the bank would then take their fee out again, so you would not get the entire incentive.

So, if you paid for the tax fee with a card, or through your ouwn account, you are ok. It is just if you approved the fee to come out of your refund, you will have to wait for a paper check in the mail. Again, www.irs.gov has more information, and you can call them as well.
