lol grannyx5

On a serious note, I feel like i'm at school listening to the freshman bicker, when you feel the need to post something negitive think like this if this person was infront of our face would you still say some of things you say here. Its called being polite and it is possible, then I often see adults complaining about the youth in this town, well I see some excellent role models here!!!<> If your an adult act like it and common gossip and petty fighting is for high school people its time to move on.

I was just stating my thoughts and observations, not trying to ruffle anyones feathers if I offended you, I am sorry please do not start flamming me. I hope to have fun talking on this fourm like everyone else!

Kim- you can for sure have fun on this forum like everyone else.  I don't totally understand your post, but I will tell you this!  Granny is 55 years old, I commute to phx 5 days a week to work, I have 2 grown wonderful kids and 5 grandchildren. Anyway I have read and re-read you post, and I all I can say to you, is YES  I do not change my colors.  I will say everything to anyones face that I say on-line.  I do not color-code my words.   I will not "FLAME" you.  (what ever that means)

Kim, now that you understand my position, could you please explain to me what your post was all about?  Did my previous message prompt you to post this?

Sorry it didn't make sense, its just so catty the way people treat each other on this fourm, I was loling your reply to drummer, I was just replying to this topic in general, it was just my observations about what i've seen from reading here. I also believe you would say it to thier face haha, but somethings i've read on here are just so petty. I have no problem with anyone nor do I wish to do have any. Flame is a term used to disagree with someone like saying they suck ect. its a term used on a site I write stories on, lol, i've just grown used to it. Well I hope that made more sense, I didn't reread before i posted but i did this time.

People with weak arguments and indefensible positions denigrate their opponents in order to change the subject.

I cannot be specific for fear of another banning; however, I wanted to join and was rejected out of hand because I had no 12 year old daughter to marry off and they would not accept a grandchild.

Hay! I am now running for VPeep!

There is a lot of talk about the forum on here, but what about the news pages? Does anyone know of a place with more local news? If so, I'd love to know. Because this one, and I am relatively new here, seems to have a couple dozen stories archived about the upcoming election, which will be helpful since i am a newbie, and there seem to be new stories at least every day, if not more, on a variety of topics. The "other" site's news page has a news story once or twice a week, and I have not seen any election coverage there. This week's Monitor online had a lot of news from outside of Maricopa and the other one, the one you get for free ..., it shows up in my mailbox with articles in it about stuff I have already read on this site, usually two weeks old by the time I get it. I don't get the Monitor delivered because you have to pay for it, and why would I, when the news is available here for free?

Maybe I am just naive and looking in the wrong place. Is there another site with more Maricopa news? I can get my news on the state, world, etc. in the other more regional papers.

Since people get banned for posting websites.. I'll PM you the links... you really consider 85239 as a "news" source? they hardly are..

I use to love to come on and talk with friends, get information and sometimes even enjoy a good debate.  But for the last few months I've noticed that things are getting really bad.

It's almost a ghost town here.  Last night for example my last post was at 12:34 am and now at 8:45 am there has only been 14 posts.  Before there would be 14 posts within 5 minutes and no not from the same user.

People are getting banned or put on time for reasons that I just don't understand.  I know that there are rules and rules are made to be followed but I have to ask the questions "How old are we?"

I know that a few can and have hurt it for everyone but I think that things have gotten a bit out of hand and overboard.   Can't we all just play nice in the sand box together?

Thats why for so long I haven't been on hear. I was on this site like crazy. I posted topes 20 to 25 a day if more. I remember making new friends on here when I moved out here 2 and half years ago. Hanging out with "The Cronies" at Ramsey's, going to bunco and havin a blast, throwing parties that would never end....lol It was a blast!

Then last summer for some reason it wasn't fun to get on here. People were bashing other people and threating to hurt them in any way shape or form. Everyone seemed to hate everyone.

I just wish it would go back to the way it was. When someone would say "New to town" we would all greet them. Now it always gets to an arguement because of where they use to live or someone hijacks the thread to cause problems.

Miss the old days....*day dreams*

I have to agree with you both Twostep and MOB, I miss it too. I'm grateful for it at the beginning, but when I hear some of the reasons some are banned, especially small business owners that had paid advertising, I think it is just petty and in the long run hurts them.

Just like the saying, "more people will spread the bad service, and word of mouth will get around"
