Anyone know why the 347 would be closed? Apparently it is closed at Queen Creek/I-10...

Never meanin' no harm,
Beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born.

Straight'nin' the curve,

Someday the moutain might get 'em, but the law never will.

Makin' their way,
The only way they know how,
That's just a little bit more than the law will allow.

I don't know. It's closed at Wild Horse Pass and Queen Creek. They are going to see if it is also closed at Riggs. Hopefully a detour through Casa Grande isn't required.

I heard on the news that several sections of I-10 were closed due to blowing dust.

DD, you're my hero! Hey, I have a question for you. Does your Yukon have the Active Fuel Management where it switched to 4-cyl mode when at cruising speeds?

Good chance it is closed because of the storm. My sister in law just got down the 347 but sat before Rinker for 35 minutes on what she hoped to be the side of the road. She couldn't see a thing. Said there were quite a few cars stopped with her. It started to clear enough for her to get through. She said still had some bursts but it was a lot better now.

Pati and I were coming home from Tempting Fait's house last night and at Honeycutt and I believe White and Parker the dust kicked up so bad we couldn't see past the hood of the truck. I thought I was in my lane but after the dust cleared I was in the middle of the road!

That is exactly what she was afraid of! Scary feeling. She has lived here for 6 yrs and has never been stuck in a dust storm for this long.

There is an accident on the 347. I am at the Northern end of Cobblestone and can see the emergency vehicles on the highway. Probably someone caught in the dust storm.

Yeah, it does. I can usually get it into 4 cyl mode on 347 if I can use the cruise control. Problem is, people keep cutting in, so I have to brake and then accelerate.

What I would love is if we could get ethanol out here.

Does anyone know if when the MDS kicks in, does it always shut off the same cylinders? Is it on the same side, etc.? Or does it have technology that rotates which cylinders are shut off?

***official stop by***

I have read and understood the posting on this thread and have nothing to add.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

The 347 is bunk. Let's argue.
