Alert | I'll be working with Barbara tomorrow to notify the city to have the street and sidewalks cleaned up and to contact the homeowner on the corner wall. The HOA is responsible with the homeowner to clean that wall up.
We have had a bit of problems with a group of kids that hang out at night at the parks. They are stepping up patrols at night since I was able to give them a bit more information that I've received from a few concerned residents.
The best defense is us as homeowners. Keep an eye out for your neighbors. Get to know them and help watch out for each other when their gone. Report to the police any suspicious activity or people.
Standing together will show these kids that they can't trash our community or burglarized our homes.

There is a gang task force in Maricopa.
They track all of the activities and they have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy.
The problem is that often gang tags (signatures, if you will) are left behind but since rarely is there ever a witness the cops cannot arrest.
Why?
Because opposing gangs will often tag with known rival gangs tag names. They are trying to get the other gangs in trouble by using their tag names instead of their own.
So just because someone tags "XYZ" and the cops know XYZ is affiliated with gang A and the guys real name is B....they can't arrest B unless someone actually saw B doing it.
Make sense?
We have the same issues in CF.
But the added police patrol, surveillance cameras, Block Watch, etc have really reduced the problems tremendously.

Alert | I took a ton of pictures of all the damage and spent a very long time talking with the cops about it. The city has already come in and cleaned it up...Thank you Brian D. You rock. We had a neighbor that took it upon himself to paint the wall on the common grounds to save us money. Thank you Shanan. Your awesome.
The crap that we had was not gang related at all. It was a bunch of kids with nothing to do on their hands. There was no gang markings within all the crap that was left behind.
They have already increased their patrols in the area. Which I might add I'm glad about.
We've got a block watch meeting on the 24th that we'll be discussing this issues along with other important stuff.
