Alert | | Wow, can't wait to go out tomorrow to see the sign! We left in the dark and came home in the dark, so I haven't seen it. But in that letter we got from the HOA a couple of weeks ago, they said the sign was only going to be on the Honeycutt side, which means, the Hartman side would be left blank. I find it funny, I mean, the people who drive down Hartman are few and far between, yet theyll know we're Tortosa. Meanwhile, Honeycutt, the most driven road into Tortosa, will not know who we are! Just ironic. But maybe this is a sign that maybe the fountain will be done within the next few years?

Alert | | I saw the sign when I approached the stop sign eastbound at Hartman and honeycutt. Im sure all of us that saw the sign were traveling on Honeycutt and NOT Hartman. Point is, we can all see the sign just fine no matter what way we enter Tortosa, (well not from Murphy of course) so lets give the builders a break on this one. I think it looks good.

Alert | We saw the sign this morning. Looks better than i was picturing in my head. Still would be nice to have it also on the Hartman side, but I won't be picky. Was nice to go out this morning and see it.
Maybe, fingers crossed, this is a sign in the right direction. Maybe, just maybe, this means our tower will finally get completed.
But i do like our sign...now we're no longer that secret community!

Alert | You would think that a ribbon cutting ceremony, the residents would be invited, yet, I haven't heard anything about it. Usually ribbon cuttings are for grand openings and considering Tortosa has been here a couple of years, that seems odd. Unless, they finally consider us "opened" now that we have a name on our tower. But still, if they are making such a hoopla over it, we should have heard something about it.
Soooooo....it's been months since we were told the hold up for the tower was the electric and water. you would think by now, they would have something going on.
just wondering, Terry, how do you find out so much about what is happening out here before most of us ever hear?

Alert | We are so glad that we finally have a sign. Makes the community look legitimate. I would love to see something built on the other side to balance our entrance. Hopefully it's in the future plans.

Alert | | According to the original artisit drawing there are supposed to be arches on the other side, similar to those by the tower. | | The red head is BACK!! (and still mouthy)

Alert | | Since no one seems to know what changes had to be made to the original drawing once Tortosa was incorporated into the city anything could happen over there--including leaving it a greenbelt. | | The red head is BACK!! (and still mouthy)

Alert | | yeah...the orig drawings are gonna differ from what is provided now. I hope in the end it comes out nice. Linda and I sometimes drive through other communities and see how nice their entrances are and wonder how our's will look....one day. Hopefully they will make it look good and not just some hot mess they threw together. | | "...you knew that before you came here"- The 85239.com's stupid answer to every comment"
