Alert | im thinking once that tower is complete, the water feature on that will always be off as well. So whats the hurry in getting it done. if these features dont affect our fees, then run them at all times possible, it sure does make the community more attractive.

Alert | | oh but when it's done then we can complain to our new and improved HOA about how it's not running, while still complaining about it here at the same time!

Alert | | UHG is that all anyone does is complain? Do any of you have any idea how long it takes to "develop" a community? Again get some facts from you HOA before assuming all of this and giving into the negative side of these discussions.

Actually, I have no idea how long it takes, this is my first home. But I did think that Such features were supposed to be complete before the homes came along. Kinda like every community I have seen besides Tortosa. Also, didnt you (HappyOne) say you live in The Villages? Correct me if Im wrong, but wasnt everything you guys have done before you moved in?

Alert | Oh NO! Is someone from the villages complaining that us tortosites complain too much? I must complain about that! hahaha
(i'm in a snarky mood thanks to percocet lol don't mind me)
I was told when i signed the contract for my house in dec 05 that the tower would be COMPLETED in april 06. That was... what? 16 months ago? When DO we get the go ahead to start complaining?

Alert | You are right but I know alot about Tortosa. No I was one of the first houses in the Villages and the answer is not we did not have everything built.
The problem with Tortosa is that they are having issues with getting water and Electricity to the entry feature due to GLobal and ED 3. The poor guy out there doing tile is having to walk across the street with a bucket because there is no water to that thing. It is extremly frustrating to the developer.
Folks trust me the new HOA versus the old is great they are nice gals and are just trying to fix old HOA problems. Give them a shot

Alert | | happy one....as karen pointed out....theyve had a ton of time to get that thing done....excuses get old...especially when an entire school is completed inside and out before a small little sniper tower....thats pretty sad if you ask me....im not sure if it can be quantified...but i wonder how many potential sales tortosa is losing because they dont have these "features" operational.....rancho mirage only has a few model homes built...and have a nice entrance already....just a hunch...but i bet they catch up in sales to where tortosa is | | *formerly known as inyrfce2* Senior Member Posts: 797 Joined: Dec 2006

Alert | | Happy One, I caught you complaining on the Villages board. Whats with that??? All joking aside, I still feel they should have had all of this work done before one house was sold in Tortosa.

Alert | | Sorry guys but Happy One has a point about the water. If any of you have notice there is a water tank behind Rancho and my hubby has been doing some field work out there along with Global. Let's just say they're having issues getting it up an running. This will also help with our water pressure too. | | Go Broncos!!!!

Alert | | dragon...thats fine that they are having issues....but this project has been going on long before we even moved here....i applaud their efforts to get it done...but i personally believe their lack of an entrance can effect housing sales | | *formerly known as inyrfce2* Senior Member Posts: 797 Joined: Dec 2006

Yeah, I'm told those mounds will be going away...to be replaced by homes. Sad. It's a long way off, though. They are still building in there. | | Nancy
