I was thinking a splash pad there would be nice. <smile>

There is a wind/weather thingy across the street to the South of the fountain. I think that has something to do with when it is on and off. Did I hear something about it going off when it's windy? Have you noticed that thing?

I havent seen one person working on the tower in weeks...sad...so sad. How about if they work on the sniper tower or run the fountaing for 30 days, I'll pay my $70! if not, I'll divide $70 by the number of days the work! hahaha

I did notice the brown water, but that could simply be from all the rain we got over the last 3 weeks. i'm not overly worried about it. yeah, looks gross, but it should eventually go back to normal looking. im just amazed though...came home friday from work, fountain was on. came home saturday evening, fountain was on, came home monday, it was on, came home from work yesterday and it was on. im just shocked, 4 days i've seen it on. maybe the new HOA or whoever runs the fountain is finally getting word from the residents...we're paying for that fountain's water, let's see the fountain on. who knows.

the mushrooms...brought back memories. every summer in PA, the wild mushrooms would grow...but noticed last night, they were cleaned up.

We've been in Tortosa since Thanksgiving, and that fountain has very rarely had clean-looking water, that is when it has been on, and I've often wondered exactly what it REALLY is supposed to look like - I agree it can be high one day and way low the next.

came home yesterday, the fountain wasn't on, but the wind meter near it wasn't moving much either, so i have no idea what or who decides when it's on and when it's off.

yeah, the other day, it was really high....but i have a silly question....isn't the rocks under the fountain, supposed to be filled with water so when the fountain moves, the water drops down into the water and makes for more of an effect? i hope that makes sense...but most fountains i've seen, the area is already in water, so as the water comes down, it makes a wavy effect on the water.

anyways....maybe once we take over the HOA, we can actually get to have the water on....of course, that will be like 5 years from now.

I still wish the fountain (when it's on, which it hasn't been for a few days now) would change patterns when it's on. I don't mind that it doesn't sit in a puddle of water, but it needs SOMETHING visually, and constanty changing the water pattern would do it for me

OH and a light so you can see the dang thing at dusk/night.

Atleast that one guy has been working on the tower all by his lonesome pretty regularly.

I should go hug him or something. He deserves it.

Yes the fountain is recycled water so it does not affect your fees

The reason for the fountain shut off is for several reasons but primarily because it has a "kick off" feature that shut it down anytime the winds were 7 MPH because it would burn the pumps out. But lucky for all of you they got a great HOA in there and a Maint. company that brought that place back to life and knew how to run the feature and they adjusted it!

interesting that you mention the 7mph figure CK...because one morning i went by and the wind gauge wasnt blowing at all and it was not on...are you certain of this 7mph figure you speak of?...im thinking there are other factors involved...mainly that they just choose not to run it
