Alert | I've been wondering what happened!
I assumed it was a police chase, a loud "bang" woke me up, I got up, and saw a whole bunch of police cars with lights shining on a truck that had gone off the road. The reason I assumed it was a chase, is it seemed that the police were there immediately (unless the bang I heard was something else...).
I didn't stay awake long enough to see/hear the helicopter. | | | |

Alert | | That circle drives me crazy. I dont know how many people Ive come across that dont yeild and pull right in front of me when I have the right of way. They should make people take a class before moving here or something. That circle was the worst idea ever. | |

Alert | I like the circle, but I don't see why it's too hard to yield. I usually always nearly stop when there's someone coming at me while I have the right away. I'm sure it annoys the other person, but I don't care. The safety of my 3 girls outweighs the extra 2 seconds lost from my being extra cautious.
Sides, if there was no roundabout, there would be no fountain, and if there were no fountain... that would cut down on our complaining by half, and that's just not acceptable!  hahahah | | | |

Alert | I saw almost the entire thing from our upstairs window. Our house backs right to that greenbelt, about 50 yards away. I heard the sirens as they came down Honeycutt and got out of bed to check it out. Literally 1 second before I got to the window I heard the crash-worst one I've heard yet. The cops got out of their cars and were screaming at the people inside the car to get out. One guy got out of the passenger side and started walking towards the closest cop who had his gun pointed at him. I thought for sure he was going to get shot. He finally got down on the ground and the cop cuffed him. While this was happening, the front of the car caught on fire. Another cop was trying to get a second person out of the passenger side when they noticed the fire and ran to a patrol car to get a fire extinguisher. They all thought the car was going to explode and started pulling the "bad guys" away from it (I too thought the car was going to explode and started panicking about getting my kids out of the house). As one officer was putting the fire out, another one noticed a third person inside the car on the driver's side (which was half buried into the ground from the accident) and started frantically pulling at the door and window to get him out. He did get him out and pulled him away from the car-he was completely limp, I thought for sure he was dead. By this time the fire was out and the other two guys had been put into patrol cars. Then the firefighters showed up from their firehouse 100 yards away and they started working on Guy #3. I found out he wasn't dead because I could hear him screaming in pain when they were trying to work on him and get him onto a stretcher. It was horrible. Right out of an episode of 'Cops' I tell you! This third guy was the one that was air-vac'd, the other two were moved from patrol cars to ambulances. It was very hard to get back to sleep. I keep checking 85239.com hoping to find out the story of why the high speed chase was happening in the first place, but so far nothing!
