Alert | | I don't see a HOA community in here for Glennwilde, but I do believe we share the same person at the HOA so I am wondering if any of you know the rules for gazebos in the backyard. I called them once trying to get an answer to this simple question (as the rules on their website are not clear enough for my husband". Any input is helpful.

Alert | Anything that is higher than your walls should be submitted to your Architectural Committee for approval. When you submit for approval I always suggest that you have something from your neighbor stating that they don't have an issue with it. Just make sure that the color of it matches your house.

Alert | Twostep hit it on the head.. That's what I would do!
| | Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem. ______________________________________ *************************************** San Diego Super Chargers! GO!!! Joined old forum March 2006 Post count: 3068 + these | |

Alert | I just dug my entire backyard 6 feet below it's initial level...now I can put up a 12" playyard and it wont peek over the fence. Also...neighbors have been known to toss coins into out backyard mistaking it for a wishing well. =)
J..k. All I know is if you do go with a Gazebo...go to Home Depot, Get a hammar Drill and some mason screws (the blue ones) and put it up against a wall and secure at least two of the four legs "legs", the ones against the wall with the mason screwes...Our Gazebo is large but has been thru all the winds and storms for the past 2 years without even a budge. Best of luck!

Alert | It depends on your HOA. Although what TwoStep says may be true about her community, in Senita we don't need approval as long as whatever we are doing is no taller than eight feet tall, which would be two feet over the fence line. Look through your CC&R's, it should be spelled out in there. And remember, it's always better to ask for forgiveness because you "just didn't know". | | Just the good ol' boys, Never meanin' no harm, Beats all you've ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born.
Straight'nin' the curve, Flat'nin' the hills. Someday the moutain might get 'em, but the law never will.
Makin' their way, The only way they know how, That's just a little bit more than the law will allow.
Just good ol' boys, Wouldn't change if they could, Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood.
