Apparently, the word for a male rooster is offensive.

Not me, they would rather have people that appear to waste money and spend hours getting not much done. That and I'm too vocal for them!

If I ran... they would be passing a recall notice on me for getting in their butts for wasting money.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

So your answer is to sit here, talk about it, don't get involved, and then complain?

So I guess the incumbents will be the only ones running (if they are even re-running)?

No my answer is not to sit here! I tried as well as my wife, but people didn't like that since we lived in the same house, were a bit to vocal in standing up for things we felt wrong they assumed that we had bad intentions or would not look out for the best of the community. I'm telling you even Dean Santefort would have been better than some of the crew we have now! And what exactly are you doing?

I'm not doing anything really.

I think they have been doing ok for a new board. Long ago, in a HOA far, far away, I was pretty involved in the HOA board of a fairly prominent developing community. I empathize with the leftovers carried over from the builder board. It's a thankless and very time-consuming job.

If it means that much to you, why aren't you more involved? Seems to me you'd rather take the "Monday morning QB" stance than actually becoming involved. It's easier to sit back and critisize than it is to put in some elbow grease, isn't it?

What is Dean Santefort up to? Is he running this time around?

They are who we thought they were!

I also tried for the board with no success. I have been very active and vocal for the past year. I have praised the board when earned and complained also when deserved. It is a very political arena to try to enter and I give up for now.

I went.............Pathetic if I must say! I just LOVE how they are wasting money. Do not get me wrong I love Pam to death but she is not my issue it is the so-called "board" I have the issue with. I feel bad for Pam for having to work with the people on the board.

I am angry about the money they have wasted in this community (signs, crappy landscaping and much more). Since when do we as homeowners not have a right to discuss, suggest, and implement changes? Don't we pay them??? Technically, they work for us!

Wow, you got all that from the 5 whole minutes you spent there?

BTW, Board members are volunteers. They are not paid.

Sure if you don't like what your board is doing you can always voice your opinion. I would suggest that if you think that things aren't going right then get involved and change what you think is not right.

I do not care if they are paid or not paid. These people made the choice to be on the board and does not give them the power to make the ridiculous decisions that they are making without homeowners input.

They would not even give this woman the time or day. As she stated they told her the current maint. Company walked on water and unless there was a specific complaint to consider it a non-issue. Besides, they were too busy working on the “budget”. This is part of the budget and this community looks awful but per the board….. “DLC walks on water” What a freaking JOKE!!!
