Wanted to play a w/ the son a little the other night. Drove over and saw about 20-25 kids playing on all the courts. Drove out to Baskin Robbins instead and saw 3 more kids walking into the Villages through the entrance at Smith Enke.

It was clear that not all the people playing there live in the Villages. Can HOA do anything?

Probably not right. Just collect more of my money.....

The 'security' guard, who hassles us every time we play tennis, should check and make sure all basketball players have a VRED MAG-CARD.

No card = go away.

Are you serious? I really hope not. Why would these kids need to carry their VRED MAG-CARD with them? The courts are not enclosed so no need to use a card, unless they want to go to the restroom, then there is no need for a magnetic card. However the issue is that I would much rather see these kids having GOOD CLEAN FUN playing basketball at WHATEVER public court there is, than getting themselves into trouble doing something else! PLEASE people, there is already NOTHING for these kids to do...so unless you want them hanging out getting into trouble, allow them to have atleast THIS little bit of fun! Until the CITY builds more public parks and there are more constructive outlets for them to spend their time, then we should not be complaining for them to be playing basketball. If the community wanted the park not to be used by outsiders...then there should've been gates put around it like the tenniss courts, but they didn't...why because the builders know that not having gates around it is more inviting...which is exactly what it does; invites people to play.

It is not my responsibility to entertain YOUR KIDS.

You should raise them better, so they don't get into trouble, when they are BORED.

Sounds like someone needs a parenting class.

I agree we need things for our kids to do but last time I checked it is for Villages resedents not open to the public.

VRED amenities are for the RESIDENTS of VRED. Not for the rest of the city of Maricopa.

Please explain this to your children, if you happen to see them in the next week or 2.

And check into that parenting class on tips for activities for YOUR kids that aren't against the rules of the VRED HOA.

Thanks

Pacana Park has basketball courts for the people in Rancho.

I have seen them crossing the street into the Villages as well.
