I am looking at a house in the Lakes. There are no less than a million mosquitos all over the windows and flying around everywhere outside the house. For those of you who do actually live in the Lakes, how do you deal with all those mosquitos?

I don't live on one of the lakes, but very near to one.  I haven't seen one mosquito, even with me constantly watering my mud trying to make grass.

I live in a home at the Lakes (in Rancho el Dorado) and never see mosquitoes. I haven't even been bit once. We do use a bug service, if that makes any difference. I haven't seen the lakes or our pool attracting mosquitoes. Are you sure it wasn't gnats that you were seeing? When looking at some of the homes being built in the Meritage development recently I saw a few gnats, but I live in a Hacienda home and have never noticed mosquitoes being a problem.

I think I've seen one or two. I actually got one bite a few days ago but never say the skeeter that got me. I'm outside a lot grilling and in the pool and very rarely see any. We're not right on the lakes but still in the development.
