Alert | Driving home yesterday on the 347, an elderly gentleman (mid 60ish) was driving his black Hyundai Elantra in the left line at 64mph. He was pacing the car next to him for several miles. Needless to say there was 30+ cars in the left lane waiting to pass. I was driving behind him and raised my hands in the 'whats going on' gesture and I could see his face in the side mirror as he laughed and shook his head and waved his finger. After a few more miles the pace car in the right lane slowed way down and let us pass the old guy, in the right lane. Seeing this, the old guy took off and was soon doing 80+mph and would go just fast enough not to let anyone pass him. When we got into town, he put his hand out the window and motioned for us to follow him into the Arby's parking lot as we drove on by him. The senile should have their licenses revoked.

Alert | Wonder what he would have done if several burly young guys would have taken him up on his offer? Probably the only entertainment he gets since the Viagra quit working.
There are people who try to enforce the speed limit with a "rolling roadblock" to make their point. Maybe this was one of those. | | Stupid should hurt!

Alert | The moron is probably retired MCSO and was trying to relive some his power-crazed glory days under Sheriff Joe. Look at him stop people from speeding. Big Man.

haha, except mine was on purpose. I tried the name "asugirl" on another board but it was taken, so I usually just use "asugrl." I'm a grammar nazi; there's no way that would have slipped past me, lol.

arent grammar and spelling two entirely different things? | | "Sometimes I think you have to march right in and demand your rights, even if you don't know what your rights are, or who the person is you're talking to. Then on the way out, slam the door."

Alert | Uh, not really. They sort of go together. Have you ever heard of a spelling nazi? No. Also, if you want to get technical, the mistake I pointed out actually had to do with grammar, not spelling. He spelled "their" correctly, just used the wrong version, lol. But he fixed it, to make me look crazy I presume. : /

Alert | you called him out on grammar, he called you out on spelling. you said the spelling issue was on purpose, because youre a grammar nazi...
im VERY bored at work, and being contrary and overly technical because of it. That and a lack of sleep...i dont mean any harm, just being a smart alec i suppose, and i was amused by the misstep, as you were by his grammar issues.
That said, spelling and grammar are two very different things.
gram·mar /ˈgræmər/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[gram-er] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun 1. the study of the way the sentences of a language are constructed; morphology and syntax.
spell·ing /ˈspɛlɪŋ/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[spel-ing] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun 1. the manner in which words are spelled; orthography.
Feel free to pick apart both my spelling and grammar, as i worry about neither in informal conversations.
