I am stuck with a lot of messages in my outlook express that wont delete! A message box will pop up saying "an unknown error has occured". It used to be just one message in my inbox, but now it's a few more that are in my deleted file as well. Any insight? Thanks.

I get stuck at:
4. Navigate to C:\Users\your username/AppData/Local/Microsoft/WindowsMail.

I click on my user name, but dont see AppData anywhere. Just a list...contacts, desktop. documents, downloads, favorites, links, music, pictures, saved games, searches, videos

you have to set it to show hidden files and folders...i forget the exact steps in vist, but open up c:\users\yourusername and then go up to the menus...there should be a tools menu, and then options...in that list you should be able to find a check box to enable you to see hidden files and folders.

its something like that...dont have vista at work to get the exact menu names. could probably do a search in vista's help, for viewing hidden folders and get more specific instructions.

There's an easier way. Press the Start button and type, without quotes: "%appdata%" and then press enter. At the top of the Explorer window that comes up, there is the "breadcrumb bar", in it is the AppData folder. Click on that and then from there you can go to the rest of the path.
