I'm going to have kids going to elementary, middle and high school this year in MUSD and I'm wondering if any of the schools are going to have any type of open house, etc. before the first day of school...especially the new schools just opening this year.  My poor kids are going to feel like I flew them over the schools and dropped them onto the campus like it was an LZ with no way to survive the elements.   The elementary school up in Paradise Valley where most of my kids attended last year always had an ice-cream get together the week before school put on by the PTSA so everyone could talk with teachers and faculty, etc. and that seemed to really help the kids come day 1.
