I was coming home on Queen Creek Blvd and was shocked how badly ADOT messed up that section by I-10. My car was almost side-swiped and rear-ended. There is now a "left only" turn lane going toward Tucson, which some people still use to go straight. Both the middle and right lanes continue to go straight to Maricopa but there is a sever jog over because the lines don't match up. If the Tucson lane people continue to go straight (which they do because they either feel they can or they don't know) someone will get hit or run off the road on the other side. The people coming off of I-10 wait to get onto 347 have no idea what is going on but will still get hit when the car is forced off the road.
ADOT really had a great opportunity to make that intersection better, maybe a cloverleaf or make it half ways decent but they only made it worse on both ends. What a bunch of idiots. Not surprised just bewildered.

ADOT didn't mess it up, people aren't paying attention and/or going too fast to see what they changed. Especially because it's construction they should be more attentive. Trust me, I've seen much more confusing construction setups in Phoenix and Tempe.

lol...the intersection isnt even done yet, is it?

people dont pay attention to the signs, the pavement markings, etc, and thats somehow adots fault?

So lines are supposed to go straight and then move suddenly off into the next person's lane? I don't think so, and yes they are almost done, people don't care about signs or paint (not that there are any out there) ADOT didn't care about doing a proper job just a quick one. If they would have bothered to stand out there for 5 minuted to see where the lanes were needed they would have seen there was not a turn lane needed going to Tucson but one for I-10 but they didn't make one especially for I-10. They make them share a lane with the traffic going straight. They gave the Tucson drivers a green arrow for 5 minutes for two cars, real smart.

eh...the lane markings do jog to the side some, but they are pretty clearly marked, and there are at least 2 signs saying that the left turn lane is for left turns only...what else can they do? once its done, im sure you and everyone else will be able to figure it out.

They will redo all the markings I am sure so they are bright and visable at night with reflective markings..

Same thing happened to the wife and I. I was turning right onto 347 when the car in the left turn lane that is suppose to turn onto I10 kept going straight, luckily I caught it out of the corner of my eye and hit the brakes in the middle of the intersection!!! We would have been T-boned by the moron that should have been turning. I know better now I keep an eye on all the cars in the turn lane now.

People are idiots all over. At the well marked intersection of Ray and North 54th Street, an SUV decided in the middle of the intersection that it didn't want to turn left so it just started coming right into my lane. I barely stopped in the middle of the intersection in time. Then he had the audacity to wave at me as if I was doing him a favor by letting him in! Thankfully the people behind me were paying attention and stopped.
