Alert | | Tiki Tattoo, It's kinda far (East Mesa), but worth it. My oldest son's dad passed away the beginning of the year and my son got a memorial tattoo there. The detail was great and he put the ink deep so that it would look new forever. They are very reasonably priced too. | | Life without kids, is no life at all!

Alert | My husband and I both have tats from Tiki Tattoo...
He has several others and will never go back to Tiki it’s not a bad tattoo but he was not happy with it. He had to have it touched up by a different artist.
Mine however is fine and I really like it. I would go back there but I cried through the whole thing like a big baby... Don’t know if I can ever show my face in there again! LOL

Alert | | IMHO, what shop you go to doesn't matter nearly as much as what artist you go to. a shop can have artists that run the gamut from excellent to hacks. which artist you chose also depends heavily on what type of piece you want. some artists specialize in gray shading, others in color work, and very, very few are good at portraits, just to name a few. an example: there's a guy called tattoo bob out of cali. he is considered to be one of the fathers of modern tattooing, his specialty is black work. long story, but he got himself stuck in massachusetts shortly before i moved out here. we made a deal that in exchange for me giving him ride from boston as far as phoenix, he would do the coloring on a tattoo that i had had outlined by another artist (another long story). i had seen much of tattoo bob's work in tat mags over the years and had been quite impressed, but what didn't click at the time was that the work i had seen was all blacks and grays. well, lemme tell ya, the color he did on my tat SUCKED, bad! less than 25% of my color is done to this day (it's a big tat) because i was so disappointed.

Alert | | I use to go to the Club Tattoo in Mesa, then when my artist left, I haven't been there since. I am ready to get my next tattoo, its a big one, but I don't know any really good artist. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend. | | Living in Copaville is better than living any where else.

Alert | | Hotrod tattoo in Chandler on Arizona Ave. does good work too. Their tattoo parlor is more like a doctors office. They have seperate rooms for each client and tv's in each room so you have something to help take your mind off the pain. BTW I love my tat from them. Itchin to get my shoulder done in a half sleave.

Alert | | we can all give you names and our own personal opinions of who inked us. It all comes down to if you trust that pesons abilities or not. The best thing is to take all the names of the shops given to you and take a drive down there so you can check out the shop and the artist. you might find one to be better then the other. It's a pain in the butt but in the end it's your body that is going to be inked for life.
