This morning both lanes on 347 were bumper to bumper with cars. A beat up pick up truck in the left lane was furiously flashing their lights at the cars in front of them.<img src='http://www.85239.com/desktopmodules/ntforums/images/emoticons/blink.gif' height='20' width='20' border='0' title='Blink' align='absmiddle'>

Where were the cars in front of the truck supposed to go when it was bumper to bumper on both sides? Flashing your lights means "MOVE" out of my way correct? Or is there some special regional thing that means "Good morning" or "I think your cute"? Just curious.

It means:

"I am a moron and more important than everyone else, please ignore me/flip me off/throw garbage at my vehicle as you see fit".

Agreed. Roughly translated it can also mean "I am an impatient loser with no common sense who should probably be removed from the gene pool as quickly as possible."

Actually, it DOES mean "I think you're hot, pull over and give me your digits immediately because I wouldn't want you to worry your pretty little head with all this traffic and what not, little lady".

Or, it could mean, I have an emergency, trying to get my wife, son, daughter to the hospital.
Maybe we need some of these:

It worked better in the quick reply box the second time! See below:

Good point bizybeth. We need signs for the windshield that say "my wife can't hold the baby in much longer, outta tha way!"

It's hard to see what it says. Is it "Just Move"?

Last I knew flashing your lights at someone in front of you is usually to let them know that if they are trying to move into your lane it is safe to do so - as in OTR truck drivers do for each other.
In this case who knows?

That's one use. It's also used to indicate intent to pass.

missPolitick--Yeah, it says Just Move. Bad picture, but you can prgram it to say anything. That could be fun . . . .

Wouldn't 347 be so much more fun if the other drivers could finally know what we're screaming about them? You're on to something!

if you in an emergency situation turn your 4 ways on.

i had a guy laying on the horn and flipping me off because i refused to pull in the middle of an intersection a few weeks ago. i guess that extra 4 feet would have made a world of difference
