From PH III

This is visible from Senita PH III by the wash close to Honeycutt Rd,

Note the large structure in the backyard! It's was approved by the HOA before the HOA elections and construction suddenly started just before elections. Can we all build stuff like this???

So is this your house and you wanted to generate a response?
Just invite everyone over and it'll be all the rave, Alan has the most decked out backyard in phase II.

All serious though if it doesn't bother there immediate neighbors no big deal.

How interesting that you should know anything about my backyard? You must either be my next door neighbor, a Pulte employee, or part of my landscape company. Because nobody can see anything in my backyard(except for the tops of a few trees) from the street or from behind my house(as opposed to the pictures I posted). Which are you dfl?

I believe it is a waterslide/waterfall. I personally have not seen anything that big before in somebodies backyard. It might be the start of the new Magic Mountain that is rumored for Maricopa .

I've already given my input and opinions to the powers that be. I just thought others might like to see it in case the HOA ever says no because of a height requirement.

Looking at the photos, I don't really understand the issue. It does not appear to be an eyesore and the photos shown really make me have to look for the problem.
I do know that I want to meet these people to look at their waterfall. It looks pretty cool to me.

My neighbors recently set up a junglegym in their backyard. I love it. It is of similar height and I hear kids playing on it during the day.

I guess it is best to really look at a situation and and ask yourself if this is a real problem and ,if it is, ask why.

Alanf, this is in no way a shot. I just wonder why this is an issue? I mean, the houses seem worse than the waterfall regarding your view.

I think the point being made is about restrictions of things in your backyard that is higher than the fence line. Although I agree it isn't an eyesore, and gives the residents/children something to do rather than the other negative things children can get into, it brings up the point of how many other residents were denied permission to place something in their backyard, (boat, patio cover, gazebo). I think, and may be wrong, but think the post was about fairness.

That being said..... What the hell is up with Phases 1 and 2? I understand many of the homes are unoccupied, but HELLO! Many of the homes are occupied and looks like they planted weeds for their landscape. Get with the program people. You agreed to the CC&R's when you moved in, time to take some ownership and follow them. We don't need a management company to enforce them. We need homeowners to do the right thing. Especially since it appears the management company is useless. I don't know about anyone else but I think that is about the worst $6500 a month we can be spending.

Correct Reagan. The owner knew what had to be done to get it approved. More power to him. I hope this looks as good if the home sells or he gets tired of it in a few years.

If they were my neighbors, I'd be calling Ogden too. I drove by it and that was enough for me.

Your call to Odgen isn't going to do anything. From my understanding it was already approved. Plus if it wasn't, take a drive around Phase 1 and 2. They don't seem to do anything about any violation in this neighborhood.

Where is this? I drove around the area and couldn't find it... No big deal, just curious to see it in person.

Hey alanf, have you talked to this neighbor yet or are you going to continue to hide behind the internet and the HOA?? Talking to your neighbor might be a good start instead of trying to start fires here in the forum... Maybe you should find out if the project is finished and what the final product is going to look like before you start running your uneducated mouth. Personally, I think it is a nice break in the skyline over a bunch of tiled roofs.

Not to be argumentative, but what does talking to a neighbor have to do with something that shouldn't have been approved by the HOA? It's ugly, and doesn't even come close to something that should have been approved with our CCnRs. Coming on a public forum and voicing your opinion using your name (his name is Alan Fa*** as he stated in a previous post) means he isn't hiding. Just my own opinion. As I said above, if that were my nieghbor I'd be mad as heck and I'd be on the phone to Ogden asking what the heck they were doing approving it. If there are people living in the house behind that thing, I'd be calling Ogden daily asking what they were going to do about the loss of property value (aside from the housing market slide) that they gave permission for. Have they actually SEEN this?? Did anyone talk to Kriss about it? Maybe you can join us at the HOA meeting next month and Kriss can explain to us all how this happened. It's hideous and should be removed. Maybe I should get permission to paint my house purple and pink and see if anyone hollers. I'm guessing if you were my neighbor, you would.

**Edited to say isn't hiding, as in Alan isn't hiding
