Has any one seen the house at 44860 balboa  with the three cars parked in the FRONT YARD and the camper shell leaned on the side of the house. not to mention the dirty nasty ass front blinds and the crap all over the driveway and garbage in front of the house.   Last week there was a truck parked in between the two houses. and i am the one who get a letter from the HOA  for weeds two days after it rains....

...it is not just a one time deal it is every day this crap is out in front of this house.  What is the point of the HOA if they cant do any thing about this house

I live right down the street from this house you are talking about.  My boyfriend and I have talked in recent days about this exact issue.  Yesterday I saw them backing in that big camper in between their house and the neighbor's house.  Unfortunately I believe the neighbor's house is vacant right now so obviously there is no one there to complain.

Just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one to notice this.  They park in the rocks in the front yard all the time.  And sometimes they have cars up on jack-stands in the driveway.  I guess everyone in the neighborhood needs to make a complaint to the HOA.

There are many houses similar to this.....it appears that the street in front of your house is now considered part of your driveway.........feel free to park there every night.....with your RV.........or trailer full of ATVs.......

I just left a very long message with the new Community Manager about the same house. It's getting out of hand. I can't be the first to complain. I am waiting for a return call.

And I sure hope this new manager, Jeanne, can do something around here.

I am sick and tired of paying HOA dues and watching areas of this community go to hell. One more quarter and if things don't improve, I feel it's time to hold dues until things change.

And I will start another thread on something I just saw at the playground.............OMG!!

Realistically, 24-48 hours.  If she is out in the field she will not get her messages til late and then has to return all calls.

Ok, I can tell you that the HOA has been dealing with this home for some time.  My best advice is to contact Brian Duncan with code compliance and maybe we can light a fire with the city and get help.  bduncan@cityofmaricopa.net

Also, please use the HOA website to contact the board. If I hadn't of just happened to look on here I would never have seen this and never have gotten involved. Jeanne is great, but has many properties to work with. Your board wants to work for you, but we can't do that if we don't know what is going on. Please use the website to contact us.

Thank you.

Please explain............why would we/should we contact the city about this? Isn't this an HOA issue? Does the city have rules regarding this situation?? I don't know for sure but I don't think so, especially when you see some of the older parts of town. I wouldn't think this is a city issue any more than urinating on the playground equipment is an HOA issue.

I sure wish I knew who's responsible for enforcing what...........my lack of time to figure it all out but for heaven's sake, as a homeowner that pays their dues on time, complies with the HOA regulations (as far as I know), tries to be a good neighbor and a good citizen of this city......it's horribly sad that situations like this arise. And in my opinion, the saddest part of it all are the homeowners/renters, whatever. People just don't give a rat's backside any more.

I pay my taxes and I pay my HOA dues............someone needs to take care of this WITHOUT a long drawn out battle with the HOA or the city. Especially since people get the assinine letters about the most trivial things but yet, we must look at this blight each and every day.......the parking in the street and on the sidewalks, the "tickets" stuck to vehicles which are now in the driveway but have F*** U written on it, the dog crap everywhere, the park where illegal activities take place, the park where children can't play because people urinate on the equipment and in the sand, the unoccupied houses that NO ONE is taking care of, the kids and adults jumping the fences to get to the shopping areas, the speeders............I think my point is made. I HATE to see this and after over 3 years here, I am fed up.

I have met some wonderful people in this community but there aren't enough!

I did contact the board via the website.........I suggested that the board read this forum.

The reason I said to contact the city is contained in Mr. Duncan's reply to the board below.

"I have spoken with the resident at xxxxx W. Balboa regarding the zoning and health and sanitation violations. He is going to clean up and remove the vehicle parts from site and he will have the motorhome out of the landscaping today. I told him he could park the motorhome in the driveway and work on it for 72 hours after that it has to be out of site. I will follow-up in a few days to make sure everything is in compliance.

Brian K. Duncan
Senior Code Compliance Officer
City of Maricopa
520-568-9098 ext. 256"

The reason I said use our website is so that the board can deal with this in a timely manner. Not everyone reads 85239.com everyday. Whether you post in the discussion area or contact the board directly we get that info emailed immediately to us.

Thank you.

I remember that when we lived in Chandler (in a non HOA neighborhood), there was some city law or ordinance that did not allow vehicles to park in the yard, including that bit of space next to your driveway by the back gate.  If you wanted to park a car or RV by your driveway, you had to have that area paved.  If Maricopa has something similar, then a complaint needs to be raised with the city.  I'm not sure where we can find Maricopa laws and ordinances.
