Alert | i was wondering what products or technique i can use to clean out my water softener (the portion that holds the salt pellets has a couple of rings in it)

Alert | | I use an old broom handle about once a week to break through the salt that sometimes will form a bridge over the water level and not allow salt into the water below it. And while I'm at it I use the broom handle to break loose any rings that are clinging to the sides. | | | |
