 Alert | We are looking for a home for our apx 2 yr old black lab male. he has been a faithful friend and companion to us for about a year now and been a great dog. He is great with kid we have four of them. He is also neutered. But recently we have found out he does not like small farm animals. [baby goat] and because we live out on 3.3 acres and enjoy goats we can not keep him. He can NOT be in a home that breeds smaller animals. He is used to being an outside dog.
Also if there is someone out there that can foster him let me know as well. I dont want him around the baby goats anymore, and hubby is threatening to take him to the pound.

Alert | | My neighbors have been in the market for a black lab to be a buddy to their elderly lady lab and two small children. Does he get along with other dogs? Is he house trained? Is he leash trained? Obedience trained? They will be back from out of state on the third, and I will ask them then. I understand how it is with dogs and baby farm animals. Alert | He gets along great with our other dogs and we have 4 others. Even our chihuahua. He was house trained but has been an outside dog for awhile now. So he probably would need to be retrained. He is semi leash trained but is very hyper and does do some pulling. I think it would be better with more work. We have not given him the time he deserves. He has never been obedience trained.
Thank you for passing the word along. I appreciate it. He is a good boy... just needs more time and space then we have for him. I think thats part of his problem. | | | |
