Alert | Does anyone have a real estate attorney that they would recommend? We were unable to get our house (we were prequalified by their preferred lender, and come closing they can't find a loan for us) and Hacienda Builders won't give us our earnest deposit back. | | | |

Alert | Don't have any recommendations but good luck. I remember our contract with Hacienda explicitly stating that if you don't qualify for a loan then you can get the deposit back. But I don't remember if there was any more fine print with some other restrictions. We've had some issues (and still are) but we've stuck on them like flies on "you know what" and they've come through so far.
By the way, which community was it, if you don't mind answering?

Alert | Howard Karman in Casa Grande.
We used him to close on our house with the owner in a private sale.
Very thorough and very decent as attorneys go. | | Carroll O Connor, aka Archie Bunker, a great American!
