Our million dollar cat has escaped! This is the cat with at least nine lives- the one that survived the rattlesnake bite. We have been meticulus about keeping him inside, however, he Houdini'ed himself out day before yesterday. He is a very friendly, large male cat that is adored by our daughter. He looks part Maine-Coon, grey and tan with a fluffy mane and tiger striped. He has a white chin, throat and belly. He lives in Sunrise in Cobblestone. He gets along with most dogs and does not consider them absolute enimies. Please- if you find him- let us know, as his seven year old misses him terribly! Thank you!

This one's from experience: sometimes cats like to hang out around the house just out of sight. A can of sardines right outside the kitty door or on the back porch may be more than he can resist. We had one gone for two weeks and on a whim I tried that - it took him only a matter of minutes to show up.

Secondalarm,

I live in Sunrise in CF also. I'll keep an eye out for your cat (from the description he looks like my cat). Can you post a picture? Do you live near the farm in back of CF? If so, that might be a place to look around.

UPDATE!! Dribble the cat has found his way home!! He came home last night, literally dragging in. He reminded me of the Disney movie of the dogs and cat that journeyed home.... Anyway- he was absolutely full of mud, skin and bones, ravenous appetite, and very thirsty. I have no clue where he has been, but we are extatic to have him home. I do believe he is happy too! Our daughter is absolutely overjoyed and now seriously believes in Christmas miricles. Thank you to DesertDweller, TC, Yenni2, and PetSocialWorker for your thoughts and prayers! Take care all and Merry Christmas!!

Thanks for the update. I have been checking back here every day. You hadn't posted anything more.....I was hoping you were just too busy and I was afraid to ask. I am most happy for your daughter because not only do our cats mean the world to me....they are everything to our kids. The big white one in my avatar is my son's cat and they just adore each other.

If you need any help bathing him....let me know. I bathe our cats, but they also like it because they have been getting baths since they were kittens. If you do bathe him....make sure the house is warm or hopefully he will let you use the blow dryer to dry him so he doesn't catch a cold.

Merry Christmas!

I am glad your daughter got her Christmas miracle. You are very lucky!

I am so happy for you. Since my cat looks like yours I was about to fluff up my cat's fur and deliver him to your house as a present.

You guys are so awesome! I do again appreciate your thoughts! Thanks again!! We were abke to get a majority of the mud off of him, and our daughter was going to tackle him with a gentle brush, so I think we will be ok. We thank you for the offer though- TC. Take care and enjoy the holidays with all of your furry family too!

Second Alarm, it's amazing how much your cat looks like one of mine. Since mine was a stray when we got her, they could have the same daddy Here is the booking card from the last time she was arrested. She let's this princess thing go to her head and now she's acting like Britney Spears and her little sister. Actually, if it weren't for the fact that she's spayed, we would have kittens all over the place. Come to think of it, getting spayed wouldn't be a bad idea for the Spears sisters either.
