- Keep 4 seconds following distance
- Look 4 seconds before changing lanes
- Wait 4 seconds before pulling out from a stop sign
- Check 4 times to your left and right before pulling into traffic

But who's got the time to be safe?

Unfortunately, people use the 4 seconds between you and the car in front of you to squeeze on in.

Are you ready for some football?

Which puts us in the tailgate mode so nobody gets ahead of us right? Who cares if they slip in. You have that room as a safety buffer so there is time to react when they do. Who cares if the car behind me gets mad when I backoff to regain my buffer.

You forgot the fifth 4. If there is an accident on the 347 expect to wait 4 hours before it is cleared.

Oh, don’t get me wrong. I believe we should have a buffer between us, I just wish people would respect the buffers. Changing lanes is one thing, but some people are all over the place.

Are you ready for some football?

4 Secs at a stop sign I was told you just have to come to a complet stop. Your frount end has to come down and back up again (maybe this takes 4 sec's maybe less i've never timed it

You only have to come to a complete stop. On some intersections you can know within a second or two if the intersection is completely clear, without a doubt.
