 Alert | Anyone else see this? Driving southbound on the 347 this morning around 6ish. A tractor trailer was driving with the rear of it on fire. Scary!

Alert | Yep the trailer was on fire and he pulled into Rinker.
Gotta hand it to the guy. He did the best smartest thing. He got the trailer off off of 347 into an area where there was water. And the fact that he would be able to remove the tractor away from the trailer and save it.
Not only that but saved us from a nightmare of a commute even though there was an accident just after it. | |

Alert | Awesome! Fire dept must have had aot of calls- I passed Gila on Maricopa Rd and they were on their way

Alert | I must have been just in front of you. There was one that passed me on Maricopa and then another one that passed me on the overpass at Riggs.
I didn't want to wait to try and get past the accident I turned down Riggs. That accident probably happened because they saw it going "what in the world"....crash. | |

Alert | Yeah, it sounds like this guy was thinking ahead. He didn't panic and just put it on the shoulder, which would have closed the road.
If it was a trash truck, I have seen this several times. The back is smoldering as the truck goes along. Never saw one fully involved though.
