 Alert | I think that is what this forum should be called. I have lived in Maricopa for over 2 years now and if I had a nickel for everytime I hear that a new store or resturant, etc. is coming to town soon, I would be rich. True, many of these places will EVENTUALLY be built. But for all the stores that I've heard are going to be open within a few months, very few have materalized. I guess we can all dream though.

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

Alert | If you don't like it leave! At least that is what people keep telling me. I guess one might question their intelligence in legitimately suggesting that course of action.
I am glad someone declared the 347 done when they are about to close the freeway lanes for the next two weeks.

Alert | Yeh, who started that Hooters fib. At least the minute I heard about it I knew it HAD to be a joke. I am one of those people who NEVER went to Wal-Mart because of their personnel and business practices. Would always go to Target. Now I can't wait for it to open!! Desperate times call for desperate measures I'm afraid. I'll take whatever I can get.

Alert | I'm with you. I think I've heard about 100 different busineses "that are coming to maricopa soon". Well soon to me means 4-6 months at the most, not the 4-6 years that will be the reality.
I kinda think it's funny now when i hear so-and-so is coming. sometimes my first reaction is "why and the heck would they come to maricopa?" hehe | |

You would be right. Maricopa can tout their educations levels all they want. The only thing these prospective businesses care about are HHI income levels and disposable dollars. I get the feeling we won't be seeing anything remotely mid to high end anytime soon. | | | |
