Why is the HOA watering during this storm?  With almost 2 inches of rain and cool temps, grass should not have to be watered for at least a week.

Their system is on a network and can be controlled by a computer. Just a thought to save money.

The quote on the HOA's website is comical..."One of DLC’s core values is responsible use of water. With that in mind, a central focus at DLC Resources is active water management. Our goal is to supply only enough water to the landscape to keep it healthy, while optimizing usage. We minimize water use by routinely observing the plants and turf, and probing the soil to determine soil moisture in the root zone. Making proper adjustments to the irrigation programs based on weather conditions, soil types, specific plant varieties, and irrigation design is a must when trying to minimize water use."

I also wondering why they are watering at 4-6 o clock durring the heat of the day. Everyone will tell you that the best times to water are early morning or Late evening.

The kids are also out playing at that time. So either they are playing in wet grass or have the potential to mess with the sprinkler heads.
