Just curious why the highway was completely shut down in both directions last night. I was routed on to I-10 trying to come south to Maricopa. Haven't been able to find a news article or a forum posting. Was it open at Riggs or closed there too? (I took the LOOOOOOOOONG way home...) I noticed the lights on JWP were blinking too when I finally got here. ???

Well don't worry... it couldn't possibly have been road construction. They can only do road construction when the temperature is 85 degrees according to Jason. I think it is just part of the ongoing evil plan to persecute the citizens of this city.

The first plague: Bad traffic for 6 month - 12 months.
The second plague: robberies and home invasions.
The third plague: photo radar
The fourth plague: declining property values
The fifth plague: doubling the amount of trains
The sixth plague: wherever there is a traffic problem, just put another stop light instead of fixing the problem with on-ramps and bridges

Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem.

There was secret government test going on to how pissed Maricopa residents would get if they shut down the 347 for no reason...

It was actually another accident with 2 armadas. A lady and her kids were air lifted in critical condition.

I'm sure they don't just shut down our main artery just for the fun of it.

I feel for these people, but doesn't it indicate that we need another efficient way in and out of town.

Yep, it was another serious accident. A drunk driver pulled out from Maricopa Rd. to the 347 and hit a family of four. Several serious injuries... So Sad. I think I'm going to take the 10 to Riggs from now on and bypass that dangerous intersection.

There are more freeways that actually have more accidents than the 347? Based on the number of cars on 347 we are actually safer than the 60 or any of the other freeways around.

True, but the curve at Wild Horse pass has had some pretty serious accidents lately. Makes me nervous since my little kids are always with me...
