I can't believe the type of people who are my neighbors. I had a friend visiting yesterday and one of my very gracious neighbors apparently thought it would be a grand idea to pour or squirt strawberry jelly/jam on the side on my friends vehicle. She was not blocking anyones driveway. For you to be so rude and disrespectful just blows my mind. I have never once physically vandalized the neighbors car that continuously parks behind my driveway and makes it difficult to get my truck in and out, or the neighbor that has friends over that illegaly park in front of the fire hydrant all night long. How could you do that to someone who was just visiting friends??? Just be aware that pictures were taken and a report will be filed for vandalisim of anothers property. Hopefully no one else in Juniper or any other Desert Passage housing area will have to experience this. Again this just blows my mind to know I have neighbors like that.

Someone stole my cactus skelton docoration right out of my front yard. Look at some of the kids as well. They run free and are always destroying the plants in the common areas as well. Also, we had apples thrown at our home.

If you see them, tell them to stop.  If they are older kids call the cops, take a photo...

We are having a house built next to us (finally!) and we had to kick kids out of the house multiple times because they were in there skateboarding and throwing rocks. Seriously, I do not understand this kind of behavior...I have never in my entire life lived around kids like this. We even had to yell at kids for kicking some decorative pots at our neighbors. As for the jam on your friend's car...not that surprised. I would like to personally thank (I have no idea if they're from DP or not) the kind people that played basketball with my husband this week and left him on the court after he blew out his ankle. You probably won't even read this, but we spent the night in the emergency room (thankfully he could convince one of you to call the fire department since you apparently wouldn't help him) and are still waiting to find out exactly how bad the damage is. Oh, and by the way, I am pregnant and due in just a couple of weeks...so it's REALLY great to have a disabled husband on top of that. What kind of people walk away from someone who is injured?

I am so sorry to hear that happened to your husband. That is pretty sad that no one would even help. It is extremely sad that kids (not just the teenagers) have no respect. All I gotta ask is "WHERE ARE THE PARENTS??" Some of the kids I am talking about are anywhere from 6-11 years old, roaming the neighborhood like they own it.

On another note, MPD was at the sales office today. Not sure why but I have a feeling it has to do with either missing building supplies, criminal damage, vandalism, etc.

alyssald- We have a house being built right across from us and there are kids in there (middle school or early H.S.) often as well. I'm so tempted to put my husband in uniform and send him over there if they do it on a day he's home. Good lord! They run around in it with 2x4's hitting things and "hiding" from each other ... how they hide in a home that's just framed is beyond me. It's mean, but I hope one of them gets hurt one of these days. Maybe then they'll stay out and their parents will pay more attention. And what happened to your husband is ridiculous! BMW is right. Where ARE the parents?!

bmw - MPD at the sales office huh? Wonder what's up. I'm sure it's the building supply thing. They leave things out all the time and with all the kids playing in the homes it's easy to assume that's what the problem might be. Vandalism too. HUGE ONE!

Yeah, he said that one person kinda hung around to try and help, but everyone else was more concerned about moving to another court where he wasn't in the way. He went to the Dr and found out that his tibia is broken and he has a bunch of microfractures throughout his ankle and he tore some ligaments, too. So now he's in a walking cast (thank goodness his Dr gave him a choice between that and a hard cast!) but he's not supposed to put any weight on that leg...should be interesting to see how he handles walking the hospital with me in a week! Not to mention carry his newborn when we get home! Okay...done venting

I hear you about the kids being young. There are some very young (like 6 and younger) kids that ride bikes all around the streets and I'm scared to death that I'm going to back over them when coming out of my driveway. Plus, they play in the storm drains which are infested with black widows. Our cat got out of our yard and we looked in every storm drain in the neighborhood and were surprised by just how many black widows were in there...not to mention cat feces. I don't understand how parents are okay with their kids roaming the neighborhood daily.

We actually talked to KB about the kids playing the house next to us because they were definitely doing things that would hurt them...we were trying to give KB the heads up so they didn't get sued because there weren't any trespassing signs or anything, plus the builders just leave materials like nails, etc all over. My husband has yelled at the kids a few times but they always come back. KB didn't really do anything about it. They put up signs in the windows, but that's it. It's better now that the house is almost done, but kids still play in the dumpster which is just as dangerous. On another note, I'm pretty annoyed because our yard is completely littered with construction materials AND the other day I came out to people throwing stuff off the roof into the dumpster...all the stuff that missed the dumpster was all over the street. I can't wait until the house is done!

I can't wait for all construction to be completed, but we still have an empty lot next to our house.  When they are building the fence next to our house the people putting up the fence destroyed some of our landscaping.  I tried talking to them  and they didn't do anything about it.

Who did you talk to and how long ago? We have found that you have to seriously be on top of them. We talk to our customer service person regularly (mainly because they screwed up our property line and so we're fighting about it). Anyway, we have to bug and bug and bug them to get stuff done. We had plants that died before we even moved into our house which was almost a year ago and they just replaced them in like March of this year. If this wall thing happened recently I really wouldn't let it go...they need to take care of it, but don't go through the sales office...go through customer service...the guy we talk to is Tim. He has a lot on his plate right now, but just keep calling him until it gets fixed.

Let me tell you....when they build that house next to you, it will not be fun! Thankfully our master bedroom is on the other side of our house...but our nursery is on that side! Thank goodness Baby will be in our room for the first little while and construction should be done soon. The construction crews are definitely not respectful of other people's property. They just moved our fence in our backyard to where it should have been built and as I was leaving , I saw the entire crew sitting down, eating lunch, leaning against my house....right outside my master bedroom windows to be exact!!! Creeped me out that I was just walking around naked in there. Plus, they dumped left over cement on our rocks, drug our neighbors hose across our driveway and front yard (not sure why), and the crew building the house on the other side flicks cigarette butts and all kinds of other trash into our front yard, side yard, and sidewalk.

I really, really would not let them get away with damaging your landscaping.

Yeah, these guys have NO respect at all. I've found TOILET PAPER in our front yard! Ewww. We get food wrappers and the like in our yard all the time too. I saw them leaning on the one person's fence to hang out and eat one day and I told my husband I'd be PISSED if they were doing that to us. Sit in the house you're building. Sit in your cars. Go to the office. Don't hang out around my house like you have a right to. Oh and the BLARING MUSIC! We have had up to 3 different stations (2 mexican and one hip hop) playing at top volume at ONE TIME. What the hell. I don't care what time of day it is, that's just rude. I was trying to get my kids to take a nap for HOURS and they wouldn't/couldn't because you could hear the music all through the house. I had to lay them in front of the tv (on the floor) and put a fan on by them to create some kind of more calming "noise" to finally get them to sleep.

Oh and the hose being taken across your driveway ... WATCH OUT!!! THEY USE YOUR WATER! I watched one of the people go right up to my neighbor's house and turn on their water to wash their hands in. Uhhh NO. We PAY for that water! Find somewhere else to go jerky boy!

Yeah. I don't like the workers at all.

Tim is great to talk to. Sarah is a doll as well! She's always been SO on top of things for us. Just this past week we had to get our doorbell fixed (it was wired wrong and they put the wrong transformer on it) and we have someone coming this Tuesday to fix our broken cabinets. She's great at getting the job done.

The plants. We had FIVE dead before we even moved in. The (now fired) customer service person only replaced 3 of them. One of the other 2 came back (it was a lantana), but the other (also a lantana) never did. I didn't even bother asking them for a new plant. With my luck it'd be a bouganvilla .... I just got gerraniums for $1.50 a piece at Fry's. I'm cool with that.

Makes you wonder, is it the POS parents or the POS kids?

RichTig...I believe it is both. You can only have POS kids if the parents are the same way. Oh what is that saying....MONKEY SEE, MONKEY DO!!

Who is Sarah?? We haven't talked to her...the first customer service guy that we worked with was TERRIBLE. He never got anything fixed that should've been, he was rude to me during out walk through--talking to me like I'm an idiot, and never returned phone calls. Glad he's gone. KB really screwed up a lot of stuff....one major thing was that when we bought our house we specifically asked if the electric panel/gas hookup would be on the entry side and we were told that it wouldn't be. Then we asked about it again during our construction orientation and were told that nope, it will be on the garage side. We asked the design center, too and she looked at our floorplan and lot plan and said the same thing--garage side. Gee, what do you know...it's on our entry side. The only thing I have always disliked about our house is that you enter on the side instead of up front....now I don't just dislike it, I HATE the walk to my front door. You walk by our electric panel, gas meter, sprinkler box, cable hookup, and phone hookup....OH and it gets better!!! The house next to us, has all of the same stuff directly across from ours...so you get double the electric, gas, and other hookups...FUN! They moved our sidewalk out so that we could plant things between it and our house to try and make things prettier (I have had my heart set on rose bushes) and then we discovered that they built our sidewalk 15 inches over our property line so now they have to tear it out and re-do it...and then it will be to close to the house to plant anything. I do feel bad for Tim because really, we are the homeowners from Hell, but if it had been taken care of at the very beginning he wouldn't have to deal with us. Thankfully, there's really only a couple of things that still need to be fixed. Tim definitely needs some help though, it's not fair for him to have to deal with an entire neighborhood of people.

So why the heck didn't you go out and tell the workers to turn down their music??? My husband and I have no problem telling them how we feel...and thankfully  my husband speaks spanish so he can communicate with them. We started parking on the street in front of our yard because they kept parking trailors with generators in front of our house--yeah, that's great to listen to at dawn. We're really not mean people...we just stand up for ourselves

alyssald my husband and I do the same thing (park our cars) on the street covering our driveway. One day, they were installing cabinets in the house in front of us, and the big trailer was parked blocking our driveway, it was still dark out since it was very early in the morning. It took about 10 minutes to find someone to move the truck, so frustrating! I know it's all part of dealing with new construction, but people who already live here deserve some respect!

Sarah Chambers. I think she does the whole community. She used to work with just Juniper until that dumbass was fired. Rob was it? He had the personality of a wet rag and took forever to get things done. Sarah is SO much better. She was our superintendent and I LOVED her then (she called us weekly to update and always returned calls and answered questions) ... after the fired dumb-dumb she was essentially promoted. You'd think it would take her a little longer now to get back to us and get stuff done. Nope! She calls back asap and she gets in touch with whomever is needed and sets up an appointment for us for the next time they're out. It's pretty cool!

UGH I would hate having all that stuff on the walk to my house! Vic and I looked at a model from another builder and as you walked up you walked past all that stuff. Even though it was the same color as the house I told him that would've been a deal breaker for me if they told me it HAD to be on my entry side. I'm sorry yours turned out like that! We drove out here every week to check on our house. I would've been on them in a heartbeat if I saw they had that box sticking out of the ground on the wrong side! Luckily it was on our garage side and not our stairway. Our neighbors have it on their stairs side and I wouldn't have even wanted that. It's crappy that by moving the walkway back you won't be able to plant anything. Surely there is something you can do! I'd even put lattice work with fake vines or something (it's moveable then) right in front of it .... almost anything would be better than the boxes and wires, right?

Why didn't I confront the workers? Hmmm ... cuz I would've been incredibly nasty so I stayed in and dealt with it. They've been spending more time at the houses around the corner so I don't really hear them now. I figure if it happens again then I'll just call Sarah. LOL
