 Alert | Oh I hope someone can help me. My daughter is 3 1/2 years old and has been potty trained for about 1 1/2 years. However, she has always had at LEAST one pee pee accident a day. Today she had 4 accidents. She just waits way too long and has the accident while she is literally running to the bathroom.
I have tried constant reminders, rewards, and punishments, and nothing works. She just doesn't seem to care. She starts preschool next week and she cannot continue to have constant accidents.
Has anyone deal with this? I am at my wits end. HELP!!! | | | |

Alert | | Mine went through the same thing. She was TOTALLY potty trained by 2.5 by day. At 3 when we were home alone she liked to run around naked and just started to pee in the corner. I just made sure not to emphasize my displeasure to much and she just remembered that pee goe in the potty. It is surely a phase but you may want to make sure it is not something worse, like an infection or such!! | |

Alert | My kids got lazy during the potty training. My one son did it once while playing video games because he didnt want ot pause the game, and my daughter doesnt want to go because of missing her tv show.
They get distracted easily. Eliminate distractions and this should stop. | | | |

Alert | DD just turned 4 and still has accidents when she is busy. Distractinos cannot be eliminated because it is not just tv, she can be playing play dough, tying knots with ribbon, playing with toys, etc. She just doesn't want to stop. She can be sitting on her foot rocking she has to go so badly and tell me she doesn't have to go. It is a constant battle.
HOWEVER, she was in preschool last year and only had 1 accident all year. The structure of school helped her remember I guess. | | | |

Alert | | By the time my 1st was 2, he decided he didn't want to wear diapers any more. The problem was, even though he would use the toilet most of the time he would still forget once in a while and wet the diaper. One morning he put on regular underwear under his pants and went outside to play with a neighbor. He forgot and wet his pants. The neighbor (a 9 year old) said "eeew, did you wet your pants?" We went in and changed clothes and that was the last time he forgot to use the toilet. | | | |
