Alert | I am at my wits end with the ASP at Santa Cruz. I need to find out if any of the SAHM's or Daycare providers in Senita, or the Villages would be willing to let me son come over after school until 5:30 most days? I am willing to pay for this service.I have had the ASP send my son home on Wednesday (early release) by himself with nobody at home. The first time this happened he was at home from 1 in the afternoon until almost 6. This is my Kindergarten aged son, and he was at home by hisself. I wouldn't be so concerned accept it happened again this week. Please if any one can help or has any info please contact me. Thank You

Alert | | If your child is being sent home after school, it is his teacher taking him to the bus and not the after school program. I had this problem on the first day and the teacher thought I was picking up and left him in the office until they called me and I said he was supposed to go to after school. | | *********************** Heat beats snow!!!

Alert | | It is more than that. He only goes to the afterschool program on Wenesday. He is in Kindergarten, and he is only 4. Supposedly the kinder kids are not supposedto get off the bus with outa parent waiting there. Well he has more than once. His teacher is aware of the program as is the principal, but that hasn't stopped this from happening. After the first time this happened and my son was at home for 5 hours by hisself, they said that there were things in place now to prevent that from happening. They are supposed to take roll call in the ASP compairing it to the daily school aattendance. That way if someone isn't where they are supposed to be we would know right away. They have a teacher that is assigned to picking up and taking the younger kids to the ASP program. My sons teacher is in charge of getting the kids ready for thier parents to pick them up. They are suppossed to wear a lanyard stating that they are in the ASP so that they do not get on the bus. The only thing that has been implimented is the roll call. The person in charge of the ASP program is the one that took roll on Wednesday and said since he wasn't there on Monday or Tuesday that it didn't raise any flag that he wasn't there on Wednesday. Hello he only goes on Wednesday!!! | | | |
