Alert | | My son just turned 1 on the 11 of october and a week before that started regecting my milk. He was a great breast feeder and then one day just stopped. I have a lot saved up (frozen) and I have tried everything to give him that. I have maid smothees, ext. I tried cows milk and ice cream and he does not want any milk. I was told this was a short term thing but now I am getting worried. What do I do???

Alert | One thing for sure : DO NOT PANIC!
Worst case senerio, you have to throw away the pumped milk ( cause it gets too old)BUT he will eventually drink cows milk. I KNOW how VALUABLE the breastmilk is. I have had my son for 13 mos on breast milk and I was hoping that I do not have to toss away any. So mine went through a period of time like that and eventually started drinking milk again. I do give mine cottage cheese with yogurt so at least he has calcium from that. I make oatmeal with milk and ceral, to make sure he has from those as well. These days, ( he is 16 mos) he still hardly drinks milk, maybe 4-5 oz a day, BUT I do make his breakfast the way I described and his cottage cheese snack. HE IS TOTALLY FINE, DO NOT FORCE HIM!!! And also the dr said, his body knows what he needs. | | Old Username: JKH200405
