Alert | | HELP!!! For the last 2 weeks my two year old has been taking off his pull-up and shorts every chance he can get. When he wakes up in the morning he is always naked. Plus he takes them off when he is taking a nap or just playing in his room. I have tried everything! I started potty training him at 18 mons and he is still potty training. It doesn't matter if the pull-up is dry or wet, he still takes it off! What can I do?

Alert | | It's a phase. It will pass. We are at the tail end of it now. I think it has more to do with being able to dress and undress oneself (an independence thing) rather than a potty training thing. | | If you can't spot the loser, it might be you

Alert | | I have potty trained both my kids naked. DS has a much easier time getting to the bathroom and knowing he had to go if he was naked. If you do not want him naked I can only think of 2 things....onesies or diapers put on backwards. I know people that have done both. For me naked was just easier and more effective.

Alert | | Try getting some really cool big boy pants with his fav characters on it and make a huge production over the new undies! Tell him that if he pees on whatever character he is wearing that character will be sad. It worked for my kids!! Try it. | | Live every day as if it were your last and smile!

Alert | | awww thats a cute idea. I have reg. underwear for him too, but he doesn't seem to understand the concept of it, he takes those off too! I would have no problem potty traning him naked, but we have mostly carpet throughout the house. =( I do think it is just a phase, but when will it end?!!! AHHH =)

Alert | yup we did the starting potty training thing at 18mos (girl) she was fully potty trained about 2 and a half. She also went through the "naked" stage" I just let her run around the hous enaked. Didn't really bother me any. She turned 3 on Oct 1st.... about 3 weeks ago though she started taking all of her clothes out of her drawrs and closet and started changing her outfits like 12 times a day. Now I can keep the same clothes on her cause she keeps putting on new ones ....haha aren't they so funny! Are you having problems with accidents or just being naked? I know some people think nudity is wrong but if you're comfortable with him running round the house nude don't worry about it. It will pass =) | | Ppppppbbbbbbssssssssssttttttttt!

Alert | LMAO drummer.
Well it's good to know that everyone is or has gone through it! I don't have a problem with the naked thing, the problem is that he takes the pull up off and then pees on the crib/sheets/carpet/toys....ect..lol... I also tried the backwards way too, and he still finds a way to take it off. Hopefully he will be fully potty trained soon, so then I wont have to worry.

Alert | | Well, I'm from the South and I have the cure as does everyone in the South! Yep, we use Duck Tape on everything! LOL. Cars, pipes, houses, clothes and even pull-ups! That will keep the pull-up on! JK! | | Live every day as if it were your last and smile!

Alert | | LOL! Don't hold your breath for things to change. I have one like that, he tried hiding them and throwing them out when he was a toddler. I 've bought boxers, briefs, small sizes, larger sizes. Nope, he hates underwear. But in the grand scheme of things, does it really matter?
