Alert | I was coming home this afternoon around 2:30, I was on Butterfield Pkwy. I was passing the lake and pool and noticed a group of adults and about 4 little boys hopping over the fence in front of the splash pad. They looked at me as I slowed down. I decided not to make conversation with them. As luck would have it, I saw a police car pulled over further down on Butterfield, I stopped and told him what I saw. He assured me he would check it out. I mentioned that as an HOA paying resident, I did not appreciate "fence jumpers" using the facilities meant for residents. I'm sure these guys did not live here. I think we should all be alert to any suspicious activity that occurs in our community. We need to protect our community. Thanks for letting me vent. | | Love Comes To The Forest

Alert | | why jump the fence when you can just buy a key? | | The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. Carl Jung

You have to live in VRED to buy a key. I'm sure the fence jumpers were not residents of VRED. | | Love Comes To The Forest

They should electrify the fence. The electricity would turn off when you waved your card over the sensor.
That would discourage all those REDs from getting in.

Alert | You did the right thing, Lucee. Even if the culprits were Village residents, damage occurs to the fence each time this happens, damage which the rest of us have to help pay for through higher HOA dues.
Each of us can be an additional set of eyes and ears for the police. When it comes to controlling crime(and the resulting costs to society), every little bit helps.

Alert | | I thought they had a guard at the VREDS facilities? | | Just doing it one day at a time. Change is good and it should be looked upon as an improvment! not a problem. ______________________________________ *************************************** San Diego Super Chargers! GO!!!
